Hi, I'm John. I've been a professional sitter and boarder for many years, and I love Rover for helping me meet so many wonderful dogs. I still get excited for every new pup I meet. I have my own little guy, Georgie, who loves to make new friends. I'm experienced and comfortable with dogs of all ages, including seniors with medical care needs or disabilities.

McTavish, a three yr old Scotch Collie loves playing in the yard with other guests! He also appears to have happy naps on the couch! This is his third stay and he will be back!
Out of the past 10 dogsitters we’ve used, John is the best. We got 5+ pictures of a day clearly showing our dogs were happy and having fun. John noticed and mentioned a half dozen things that showed us he was attentive to our dog’s needs and sensitive enough to help them when they were in need. Our dogs came back visibly less stressed than with other dogsitters, so we will be using John from now on!
John was fantastic with our two pups. It was obvious he spent a lot of time with them and the daily photos were wonderful. We will definitely use John again should the need arise and we highly recommend him.
John is an experienced care provider and asked relevant questions. My collie and Jack Russell mix were having a day visit to adjust for a longer stay. John gave good feedback. I’m very happy to have found him for our upcoming trips.
John was very good with Pearl, our puppy. It was her first time in daycare. He kept her busy with walks and play. It was easy to communicate with him on text. He has a nice quiet way about him and with Pearl and the other dogs.
John is an excellent communicator and is very skilled and patient managing the dogs he is caring for. You can tell he cares deeply for his charges.

Schedule
I work from home and don't go out often during the day, so your pup will get plenty of close attention. I'm open for boarding and daycare almost every day!

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet's safety is my top priority. Dogs staying with me will be staying in a quiet home where they'll be given close attention throughout the day. I have a fenced backyard for play and a large, partially-fenced yard your dog can enjoy while leashed. Dogs are never left outside unsupervised. I have my own young dog who is extremely friendly and loves to play, but there's plenty of room for dogs that prefer their own space and he's very respectful of dogs that don't want attention. I'm not out often and constant care service is available if your pet needs 24/7 care. Dogs are separated as needed if I'm out. I only host up to 3 dogs at a time for overnights, so your dog will always get plenty of individual attention. In addition to the Rover Guarantee, I am privately insured for pet care. Boarding clients must be up to date on vaccinations and be able to provide proof.
Pets
A typical day
Dogs will be walked multiple times a day and get frequent potty breaks. I like to give dogs lots of playtime, either in the yard or indoors. On nicer days we may go for a hike down by the CT river. Georgie loves all types of play with other dogs. I have plenty of toys but you're welcome to bring your dog's favorites. Dogs are allowed on furniture and in bed.
