This was our 2nd time with John and Joanna. This time we brought our small dog over for an overnight stay. Our pup was nervous, but Joanna really knows how to properly introduce a newcomer to her “pack.” She was patient and kind, and our pup did wonderfully well - she’d never been away from home before, so this is a huge endorsement! We will definitely be staying here again, and I’d highly recommend John and Joanna!

Joanna is always amazing with my little maltese! Now every time I need someone to be with my dog I ask Joanna as she treats her as someone from family and take care so well of my dog.. Joanna, I have no words to thank you enough for being some careful and loving our dog as we do. You're amazing!

John and Joanna are wonderful, they kept me updated about how my pup was doing with lots of pictures. They are very knowledgeable about dachshunds and took great care of my boy.

A few days into our planned two week trip to Scandinavia, we got a call from Joanna. She reported our dog behaving differently, and then a day later pooping with blood. She rushed Bluey to her closest vet, and our dog was diagnosed with pancreatitis, a potentially fatal condition for young dogs. Joanna took Bluey to the vet two more times and faithfully cleaned up after our dog who continued to have accidents in the house. She medicated Bluey as directed and was able to care for Bluey until we could find a city to cut our trip short and return home. We owe John and Joanna many thanks for caring for Bluey and potentially saving his life.

I can’t say enough about Joanna and John. I was very apprehensive about leaving my maltipoo with someone who had never watch my dog before. Add to that other small dogs my Sandy would be around and not sure how she would adjust. But it turned out so great. They also sent us away with a gift bag with a dog treat storage bag inside, a cute blanket and lovely card. Thanks so much for taking such great care of my baby!

John and Joanna provided excellent care for my elderly miniature schnauzer, especially with the extreme temperatures seen this summer, providing her supplemental food to keep her hydrated.

Pets

A typical day

I'm an early riser, so I get up and let dogs out while I make coffee. Breakfast for everyone, then an hour or two of chores around the house. Then we are frequently outside in our back yard for hours, sitting in our gazebo, playing with our dog Penny with balls or working in the back garden. We regularly spend at least 3-4 hours outside each day outside.

0 to 15 lbs
Spayed and neutered dogs only
No females in heat
John & Joanna can host up to 3 pets per night
Our dog gets along well with every dog she has met. She often shows them games we play such as chasing balls and toys around the back yard. She is gentle with smaller dogs and older dogs.
