I have been a human companion and caretaker of numerous cats and a few dogs for over 25 years. About 5 years ago, I became heavily involved in the animal rescue community. Since then, I have volunteered to help with local rescue organizations via fostering, adoption, socialization, TNR, and a variety of other activities. I specialize in working with shy cats and dogs in helping them develop trust with humans. I am excited to expand my passion in animal welfare and care by offering my services to take care of your fur baby as a member of Rover.

When housesitting, I will to keep your pets engaged, entertained, comforted, loved on, and on their routines. While I prefer to sleep in my own home for multi-day housesitting requests, I will make sure to spend large chunks of time with your babies. I will come over as early and stay as late as needed. I will also make sure they maintain their routines. Your pets will receive as much as attention as they want and need. I'm excellent at following detailed instructions for care so please don't feel shy about giving me all the information you think I need. Be prepared to receive lots of updates, pictures, and videos of my time with them as well! I can't wait to love on your fur babies while you are away.

🤩🌟⭐️ I cannot say enough good things about my experience, John was absolutely wonderful! From the initial first visit, my pickiest dog Nova went right up to John and said hello without her normal barking or hiding under the table, and all of my apprehensions were at ease. I received lots of updates and pictures to let me know they were doing ok. I would recommend John with no hesitation for multiple animals and will be using him again for our next trip because I know my furr kids will be loved on. 💓

John is a wonderful dog companion (as well as a nice human!) During our 17 day trip we had lots of great photos and videos. Our dog was happy and relaxed with John's care in our home. We were glad to be able to focus on our travels knowing he was in good hands. As a bonus, John kept an eye on our yard which benefited from his watering.
John was fantastic with our 3 fur babies over Easter weekend. He spent lots of time with them and sent plenty of pictures and videos with his updates. We normally just have someone do drop in visits when we go away for the weekend, but it was so much better to have John spend most of the day spoiling them.

Schedule
I work from home so I have a great amount of flexibility in my schedule as well as the ability to be with your pet as needed throughout the day. I'm happy to care for pets that require extra attention and needs.
