I have taken care of dogs at all life stages from puppies to elders. I’m also a cat lover and look forward to meeting yours. I’m retired with a flexible schedule. I will work around your needs so you have peace of mind that your pets are well cared for. A typical day
I would first want to hear from you what your dog enjoys doing and what you feel comfortable with. But I’d pay attention to which are your dogs favorite toys and be sure they get plenty of play time around your home. If you’re comfortable with me taking your dog on a local adventure, I know lots of great parks, hikes and ponds for your dog to explore and meet other dogs. If your dog loves car rides, as mine often have, I’m happy to just drive them around a bit to get some fresh air and new sights.

- When first meeting you and your dog, I’ll want to learn about their personality, their likes and dislikes. If there are behaviors you are trying to decrease, I will work to not reinforce these behaviors but reward good behaviors. I want to be sure I have all of your emergency contact information including vet, animal hospital, chip company etc. I have taken care of dogs with complicated medical needs and am comfortable giving medications as prescribed.
