I’ve taken care of pets (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, you name it!) as early as I can remember. I have been doing Rover for over 2 years now and have successfully completed numerous boardings, house sittings, visits and dog walks for a variety of different breeds and ages. I have a small terrier/chihuahua at my apartment who I care for, and I often watch dogs and cats for friends when they are out of town. I am a responsible PhD student, looking to spend time with animals and provide a quality service. I have a cozy home that often hosts dogs of friends and family.

I try to provide an attentive and calming presence for animals. I have been caring for dogs and cats since I was young and understand how to show them affection, attend to their needs, and calm them down if they feel anxious. I am respectful in other people’s space and am a strong communicator who can follow a client’s instructions and respond promptly to requests.

John is a reliable and an amazing house, dog and cat sitter. My husband and I were gone for 2 1/2 weeks. John would text with any questions, and sent pictures of the pets. Introduced himself to a few of my neighbors, which I encouraged, so Sounder could play with his dog buddies, and when we arrived home, everything was neat and tidy, just how we left it. A very nice and responsible, young man I would hire him again in the heartbeat!
John was reliable, flexible and seemed trustworthy . He was also a clear communicator who seemed to really care about animals. That's all you'd want in a dog sitter, right?
Having known John for quite some time, I can say confidently that he is one of the most caring and loving people I know. He has cared for his family’s dogs for many years- walking, feeding, and playing with them. He is responsible and trustworthy, and takes his work seriously. He enjoys being outdoors with animals, and takes every chance he can for a nice long walk with the dog. He has watched my cat while I’m away as long as I’ve had him, and my cat looks forward to every visit. I can’t recommend John enough to care for your animals!

Schedule
I have a flexible work/school schedule. I go in to campus for work on Wednesdays and Fridays, but live close to work and can come home easily. My weekends are totally flexible for pet care.
