Availability
I'm currently working full-time and I'm only gone for 2 to 4 hours typically and then home the rest of the day. I don't work on weekends. (Please note: I turn off my phone between 10 to 11 pm each night and don't turn it on until about 8:30 am in the morning, so if you call or text me during those times, my response will be delayed).

Safety, trust & environment
My entire property is fully fenced and there is about 15,000 square feet for them to wander around in. The dogs are always in a safe environment and I put a stop to any aggressive behavior right away.

Information JOHN B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know about any special needs. I have cared for my previous dog that had a bad back, so I built ramps for both my beds (see pictures). I have brushed my dog's teeth at night and could do that with yours as long as they are used to it and don't bite or growl at this. I am not comfortable doing injections.
A typical day
Most dogs just run around on my fenced property, but I can walk them if needed as the street I live on is very safe dead end and there are trails nearby in the Paradise Lake Conservation Area. I will also be happy to toss their ball or other toy for them or play tug-of-war with a rope if they like that.

Pet care experience
I have had 3 dogs over the past 18 years and have really enjoyed them even though they had very different personalities. Charlie, my 1st dog as an adult, was friendly to humans, but more aggressive with other dogs at times. After he passed away, I really missed him, so in a few months I got my dog Sally who was a miniature Poodle mix rescue dog. My current dog Linus is also a sweet and friendly dog. I will take good care of your dog as well and I have a fully fenced double lot, so they can wander around to their heart's content. If they need to be walked, I can do that too since I live on a quiet dead end street with nearby trails. I work from home most of the day and when I am gone, the dogs will be put together in my spare bedroom. At night, your dog will sleep in my bedroom.
Reviews

John took good care of our golden retriever who was on a limited activity time. John also communicated and kept sending pictures and provided regular updates. We highly recommend him.

Easy to work with. Made the vacation even better with the peace of mind that my dog was being taken care of.

John is one of the best sitters you could find in this area. And he’s extremely responsible and caring for Darmeen. He followed all the instructions and made her feel at home. Would definitely choose him again!

John was great, we got pictures and updates. Great communication when we dropped off and picked up our dog. Would definitely use him again.
