Pet care experience
A Passion for Pooches
I’ve been surrounded by dogs of all sizes my entire life. As a child growing up, we always had at least one dog in our house. As an adult, I’ve had and co-parented a couple of furry friends of my own. Current days, I don’t have a pet (for now) as I somewhat recently moved to the UK from Canada. With that said, I’m constantly dog-walking and pet-sitting for many of my friends in and around the city. I’ve also had a lot of experience with dog-reactive/anxiety ridden dogs should your pet have any additional needs.

Ratings and reviews
Excellent care! Quickly responds. Tottie loved her stay. Will use again! Thanks Joey!

I had a very positive experience. Joey was excellent with my dog — patient, caring, and professional throughout the entire visit. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog in his care, and I could tell my dog was treated kindly and attentively. Everything went very well, and I would definitely recommend Joey to others.
Joey is exceptional with dogs! He’s taken my dog on numerous hikes in different areas all around the Lower Mainland and she’s always come back exhausted and happy. He’s patient, kind, and in-tuned with dog’s needs. Highly recommend!
Joey has been a loyal dog sitter and walker for our fur babies for more that 10 years. With both our previous dog Oscar (Rhodesian Ridgeback) and current dog Sasha (9yo Shepherd mix). Joey has a life time of experience caring for dogs and he always shows them lots of love and attention. He treats them as if they were his own, so much so that Sasha is often more excited to see him than me! He is very dependable and will not let you down. You can rest easy knowing your pet is in safe hands with Joey.

Schedule
I work a regular Monday-Friday day job but can always find time to get outside in the day. Lunch time strolls are far more fun with a furry friend.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I believe that mental stimulation is just as important as physical activity for our pets. Affection and attention is vital to make sure our pets feel like they are being included however, I find dogs are at their happiest and thrive in a structured environment.
A typical day
I live to stimulate dogs both mentally and physically. Hiking is a favourite activity of mine be it, on or off leash. For maximum stimulation and activity. If time only allows for a short walk, going to a park and throwing a ball gets the blood flowing and the energy expelled.
