Hello! My name is Joey, I am a first year veterinary student at the university of Glasgow. I moved here from California where I worked as a veterinary nurse in the emergency room for 7 years. I value each and every one of your pets as if they were my own! Safety is a high priority for me, but also fun and exercise is incredibly important for your pets wellbeing. Having prior experience with animals as a veterinary technician in both hospital and general practice, as well as being a pet parent himself, he has all the qualities any owner would want in a pet caregiver. A detail oriented individual, Joey is always remarkably sound with his communication and organization so there's no need to worry if you ever have any questions or concerns. Trusting someone to look after your pet is a tall task at any given moment, so who else could be better suited to take care of your pet than someone with the aptitude and amplitude of experience than a pet caregiver like Joey.
As a veterinary student, Joey is the ideal person to offer pet-sitting/walking services. He is knowledgeable about the care and wellbeing of animals and experienced in handling pets with a range of needs. Helpfully, he couples this with being a friendly, outgoing, and personable. He always displays the utmost confidence and natural ability with caring for my pets, so I would thoroughly recommend his services.
I am Joey’s flatmate and have come to know him as a responsible and caring person. He owns a dog who we both live with, and Joey shows his dog nothing but love and care: taking him on multiple walks a day, keeping him fed, investing in toys, etc. Joey is also a veterinary student, as am I, and I can testify to both his love for animals and his knowledge/competence in handling them.

Safety, trust & environment
I will treat every pet as if they were my own, I understand how important this is. I will use low stress techniques, and offer a fear free environment. Some pets are stressed when a stranger is in the home or taking them for walks, I’m sure I can manage to reduce that stress as much as possible. I am well trained in CPR, medication administration, and general husbandry of small animals.

A typical day
While staying with your pet I will be providing mental enrichment and physical exercise. I will also be giving as much love as possible to make them all around a happy pet!
