I know each pet's has their own unique personality, routine and little quirks. I cared for three rabbits over a 15-year period, from the age of 9 to 24, which taught me the long-term commitment, patience and responsibility that comes with caring for animals. I also currently help care for a family friend's dog and regularly house-sit and dog-sit for other family friends, giving me experience with different breeds, personalities and routines. I'm comfortable caring for nervous or anxious dogs and understand that every pet is different. Whether it's taking things at their pace, sticking to their routine or remembering they only like freshly poured tap water, I'm happy to adapt to whatever helps them feel safe and comfortable. While I'm new to Rover and to looking after pets outside of my family and friends' circles, caring for animals certainly isn't new to me. I'm excited to build trusted relationships with both pets and their owners and provide care that I'd want for my own animals. I provide reliable pet sitting, dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting, always prioritising your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. I follow instructions carefully, including feeding, fresh water, medication (if needed), walks, playtime, and companionship, ensuring your pet feels secure and relaxed while you are away. For dogs with higher energy levels, I’m happy to provide structured, active walks and encourage a healthy run or extra exercise where appropriate, especially for dogs known to need to let off steam. I always assess each dog’s behaviour and safety first and adjust activity levels to suit their needs. I take a calm and patient approach, especially with nervous, anxious, or rescue dogs, and always let pets build trust at their own pace. Your home will always be treated with respect, and I provide dependable, trustworthy pet care with clear communication and regular photo updates if requested, so you always have peace of mind.

We were really pleased with Joelly's care of our 4-year-old cockapoo, Aston. Aston can become anxious without enough exercise, company and affection, but it was clear he was relaxed and well looked after. We also came back to a house that was clean and tidy, with Aston also looking well-groomed, which was great to see. We would book Joelly again in a heartbeat and recommend her to any pet owner looking for a caring and attentive sitter.
Joelly has been a great support over the last few years helping to take care of our dog. She had taken our dog for walks, fed him and shown him kindness, she has been a trustworthy friend.

Schedule
I work in a technology distribution role, based in London 4 days a week and working from home either on a Monday or Friday, as well as having availability in the evenings and at weekends. This gives me flexibility for dog walking, pet sitting, drop-in visits, and house sitting with advance notice. I am regularly between Hemel Hempstead, London, and Ipswich, and I enjoy spending my free time outdoors—especially at weekends—going on walks, exploring nature, and trying new activities. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine and provide consistent care, exercise, feeding, and companionship.
