I owned dogs for about ten years and started walking and watching other peoples’ dogs about 6 years ago. I have also walked and fostered dogs through Sequoia Humane Society.I have provided walking, boarding, house sitting, and some cat care. I love taking dogs out on hikes and staying active.

Joel is amazing with my girl. He is great with communication and takes the time to treat my dog like he would his own. I highly recommend reaching out to him for all of your needs. I have a young Australian shepherd who is hesitant of strangers but he had patience with her and now she loves him. I can’t recommend him enough.
Joel is such a wonderful dog sitter! He's always there when I need him and even last minute which is absolutely amazing for our busy lives!! I truly trust Joel in my home and with my animals. 10/10 would recommend Joel to anyone in the Humboldt County area!

Schedule
I work full time but can provide walks during the mornings before noon on the weekdays. I can provide overnight care and house sitting on weekends.

I have a fenced yard at home. We have one friendly dog at home. I am always very careful and considerate when caring for other people’s pets and homes.

A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs on hikes or to the beach. Alternatively we can also just play fetch or tug of war in the back yard or walk around the neighborhood. If the dog is really friendly I can also take her/him to the the dog park.
