Joe was such a wonderful dog sitter. He was flexible and able to accommodate any situation, including changes in schedule and even apartment entrance key switch outs while I was out of town. Joe was communicative and reassuring every step of the way.

Joe was hands-down the best person we could have found to care for our farm and 30+ animals while we were on a much-needed family trip for a month this summer. Our menagerie includes 2 livestock guardian dogs, 2 cats, approx 10 dairy goats, 12 turkeys, and 20-ish ducks and chickens. He managed the daily farm tasks with ease, and worked well with our other farm helpers who muck stalls and do weekly tasks. Tasks he performed included feeding the animals, preparing a soaked grain mixture for them, letting them out in the morning, doing some light grooming and TLC for the dogs, making sure some areas of the gardens were watered, getting a couple of does in milk up on stanchions for their babies to nurse and/or milking them, hauling hay bales out for feeding, and communicating/coordinating with our other Farm helpers. He also brought in mail, watered house plants, and left the house in impeccable condition. In addition to being an incredibly competent Farm sitter, Joe is a fantastic human being. He was a great communicator, trustworthy, followed our instructions and requests to a T, and went out of his way to make sure that problem solving took place during a couple of days when we had specifically asked to not be contacted except for during emergencies. I hope he'll return and sit with us again. It was truly a pleasure getting to know him and having him stay at The Forest Farmstead and care for our animals here.
