I've known Joe's family for years as awesome pet rescuers. They foster cats for a rescue organization. Joe started helping us out a few years ago as I was recovering from surgery and needed help walking our two German Shepherds. One was a shy recent rescue and Joe soon won her over. He has since done a beautiful job of taking care all of our animals when we are on vacation -- two German Shepherds, two cats, and two fish tanks. Joe is great with dogs, but I need to tell you about his abilities as a cat whisperer. Three days before we were set to go to Costa Rica for a big family vacation, our cat Artemis walked into my office and fell over (ataxia). She received treatment at the vets, but I didn't want to leave her alone in a strange place. Joe volunteered to watch her even though she was sick (he was already scheduled as our pet sitter). He sat with Artemis every day and talked to her and kept her hydrated and fed, while also walking our two dogs and keeping our other cat calm. Artemis was still pretty sick when we got home, but improving. To be honest I'm not sure I could have taken as good care of her as Joe did. He is a true cat whisperer. They know they can trust him. The vets never did figure out what was wrong, but Artemis is fully recovered. My pets trust Joe. I trust Joe. You should too.
