*Attention Frequent or Regular Clients; If you find no vacancy on our calendar for the dates you need. Please consult us because we may have a spot open just for you. We would love to care for your dog! Carol will be available at home to care for your dog at all hours, they will never be left alone and will be under supervision 24/7 . We have had pets our whole lives. In Brazil, we still have our Sharpei "Frida" that we couldn't risk bringing with us here to the states because she suffers from diabetes. She is doing well, with my caring parents and we go back to visit her every year. Before moving to San Diego Carol was an active volunteer for the SPCA hosting dogs of various breeds at our home, for anywhere from 2 days to two months until they were adopted. This experience is what inspired Carol to start working with Rover and it is such a pleasure to find that the majority of the dogs we host are those that have been adopted or rescued. We have really enjoyed working with SPCA and now Rover, these experiences have taught us a lot and helped us develop a special relationship with dogs. Lately some of our customers are even referring to Carol as a "dog whisperer" of sorts. Why I love dog sitting; "Taking care of animals is a talent, not an easy task that can be taken on by just anyone, you must really love them, establish a connection and a line of communication with them. Animals can feel you and they will know if your love for them is true, you cannot trick them. It is essential that your feelings are real or you will never be able to build a fundamental relationship with them." Says Carol. When we started working with Rover.com in March 2015, we never thought that it would turn into a full time profession. Today we have many repeat and frequent customers whom are assured that their dogs feel right at home with us. Their dogs arrive happy to see us and it often seems like they too are arriving at their vacation spot. It's wonderful to see how the dogs quickly adapt to staying with us and feel like part of the family, free from the overwhelming anxieties and stress that come with being separated from their owners. Our priorities for your dog are; Care and well being, security, following structure, routines and feeding habits that they are accustomed to. We know that dogs are like children to their owners, that they are family and as such they will be treated by us. We want to do everything it takes to make sure that you dog has a 5 star stay and that they will always be happy to return. Meet my pets At the moment, we don't have any pets of our own. About our yard; We live in a townhouse with a fenced patio in a lovely neighborhood of Point Loma. Our community is perfect for frequent walks, also close to grassy parks such as; Cleator park and Robb field. We have a medium spaced fenced patio which opens up to an immediate grassy area. Security is first; we use safety barriers near entry doors to avoid any escapes. Our experience administering medication; We have experience caring for dogs with special needs. Nutritional and medicinal. As I had mentioned in my bio, our Shar pei "Frida" was diagnosed with diabetes a few years ago. We have hosted for dogs going through post operation recovery, senior dogs needing special care as well as other health needs. We have plenty experience with injections and following nutritional guidelines. *Attention Frequent or Regular Clients; If you find no vacancy on our calendar for the dates you need.
