Safety, trust & environment

Exercise is so important for dogs so I will take your dog on a nice long walk. Exploring and playing is vital for dogs and I'd love to take your dog on new adventures. I'm personally not very good with super high-maintenance dogs. I'm a quiet person myself and easily overstimulated. But I do like activity. I often go for hikes on the Bruce Trail or other places in Georgetown where it's nice to be connected to nature. Safety, responsibility and trust are important in my relationship with dog parents. It's a two-way exchange. I also prefer to get to know each other first before we go ahead with dog-sitting/walking. Like humans, dogs and humans do not always click with each other. If it's not working out for whatever reason, no worries, these things happen. I will make sure that your dog is safe and happy when he/she is with me and tuckered out when coming back home.

Information Jody V. would like to know about your pet

Let me know what your dog's needs are and if there are particular things I need to know. Clear communication is important in building a good relationship. Every dog is different and I'd like to know what I can prepare for ahead of time. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your dog!

A typical day

Taking care of a dog is listening to their needs. Awareness of those needs is key to giving your dog a happy and healthy life. I will take your dog on nice walks, as much as possible in nature, and give them time to sniff and explore. Interaction with other dogs is important. It's part of being a dog! I will build up trust with your fur kid and take it step by step. We will have fun with activities and also rest. I just love dogs and they give us so much joy. Just like when I needed dog sitters for my dog Timmy, who passed on January 8th this year, I want to offer my services to you so you can have the reassurance that your fur baby is in good hands.

Trustworthy care for happy tails!

Pet care experience

I grew up with dogs and I can't imagine a life without them. I've taken care of my dog Timmy for 16 years and I've done everything to make life comfortable for him. Dogs are more than companions. They are even more than family. Dogs are our best friends, our teachers, our guardians and much more. They deserve the best and live a happy life. I only wanted the best for my dog so I understand you want that too. Building trust is the most important to me. When I had to leave my Timmy with dog sitters, I needed to completely trust them. Giving food and water, playing and walking is not enough. Dogs need interaction, companionship and stimulation. And of course, lots of cuddles. My heart breaks for dogs who are alone all day. It's not fair to them. So, if you are looking for a dog sitter that you can trust, I'm here to help.

We feel so lucky to have found Jody as Medo’s dog sitter. She is genuinely kind, attentive, and truly cares about Medo like he’s her own. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing he’s with someone who understands him, is patient with him, and makes sure he feels safe and happy. Jody is reliable, communicative, and clearly loves what she does. Medo is always well cared for, and we can tell he’s comfortable and relaxed with her, he even misses her when he’s back home, which says everything. We’re so grateful for the care and heart she puts into looking after him. We couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Jody is so wonderful with Maci. Maci runs from the car to her door and can’t wait to start her day with Jody. She never knows if it’s a chill day or if she’s preparing to be in one of Jody’s photoshoots. She’s a happy pup when I pick her up
