Because Every Pet Deserves Cuddles
Jody and Phia are mother and daughter duo - Together we make a trustworthy, attentive team, ensuring your pets receive consistent care, love, and supervision while you’re away. - if Jody's Schedule is busy please look at Phia's profile https://www.rover.com/members/phia-r-because-every-pet-deserves-cuddles/ Jody - I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, beginning on a farm in central Alberta where I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses. By the age of 12, I was breeding Cocker Spaniels, and at 17, I joined the dog show circuit, competing in both conformation and obedience. Training and handling dogs has always been second nature to me. One of the most meaningful chapters of my life was being the trainer, handler, and partner to my narcotics detection K9. Together we worked civilian searches of commercial and private properties in Colorado. My Malinois partner is now happily retired at 15 years old, living the good life alongside my cat and my “grand-cat.” (My daughter, Phia and I fostered for the CatNap Society for years until we had a “foster fail” with one kitten we simply couldn’t give up!) Beyond cats and dogs, I’ve also cared for reptiles (including water dragons), livestock, and horses through years of riding and farm life. This gives me the confidence to adapt to many different animal personalities and needs—from energetic puppies to senior pets requiring patience, routine, and special care. Phia - I am a 20 year old, responsible animal lover. I was raised around animals and has spent many years assisting with pet care, fostering, and daily training routines. I spent many years working on a local hobby farm, working with dogs, cats, goats, horses and chickens. Through my work on the farm, with the CatNap Society and our own household pets, I have developed a calm, compassionate approach—especially with dogs, cats, horses, shy animals, and senior pets who benefit from gentle handling and quiet companionship. What sets us apart is a lifetime of hands-on training experience, a deep respect for animals, and a calm, confident presence that helps pets feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for in their own home. Our 24-hour house sitting rate includes potty breaks and playtime. Walks are available at an additional charge per 30 minutes.

Ratings and reviews
Jody is responsive and reliable and I always trust that my dog is in good hands with her.

Jodi took great care of our home and pups for 2 weeks. She is very knowledgeable and skilled with dogs; we felt very confident in her ability to give our dogs attention and love. You will love her as much as we did!

We had the absolute best experience! She watched our dogs, Odin and Freya, for a full week and we couldn’t have asked for better care. She was incredibly kind, communicative, and sent us daily updates with pictures that truly put our minds at ease while we were away. It was clear our dogs were happy, comfortable, and well loved the entire time. We absolutely loved her and would 100% trust her with Odin and Freya again. Highly, highly recommend!

So grateful to Jody for the care and attention she gives. She is reliable and responsive to changes and special requests.

Jody came to our house a couple of times while we were gone for the day/evening. She was very reliable and our dogs loved her. Jody did a meet and greet before her visit and her communication with us regarding Chloe and Tucker . If any of our travel plans were disrupted and we couldn't make it home Jody ensured us she would come back and tend to our pets. That eased our minds and we appreciated that gesture. We would definitely call Jody again for a pet visit/sit. Patti and Bill

I left for 3 days. My pup has been recently injured and is on a special diet. Jody took care of everything and sent me regular updates. She is responsive and reliable. I came home to a calm, happy pup.

Calendar and availability
Schedule
As a team we can be flexible with our time. I’m self-employed with a very flexible schedule, which allows me to prioritize pet care. With my kids grown and out of the house, I can devote extra time, attention, and love to caring for pets whenever needed. Phia is a 20 year old adult who is very responsible with her own pet care and works mostly evenings (typically between 4pm-10pm).

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in their own home, I keep their routines consistent so they feel safe and comfortable. I follow all instructions closely, from feeding schedules to medications, and provide plenty of love, playtime, and companionship. I respect each client’s home as if it were my own—secure, tidy, and trustworthy. With my calm, experienced approach, pets can relax in their familiar environment and owners can feel confident they’re in caring hands.
Pets
A typical day
The activities I do depend on each pet, the weather, and the space available. If there’s a fenced yard and the dog is healthy, we might play fetch or run around outside. On hot or cold days, we’ll enjoy indoor play with toys, practicing training commands, or simply relaxing with lots of cuddles if that’s what they prefer. My goal is always to provide a mix of physical activity and mental stimulation, tailored to each pet’s personality and needs.
