I work freelance, and offer my services between my contracts so your pup has my full attention and day. Our day will be filled with a long walk exploring the woods, followed by chill out time back at home, and a couple of short toilet and play breaks in the garden. I can walk your dog with mine or separately if you prefer, although most dogs are happy to come on adventures with Charlie. I don’t look after dogs when I’m working, so I tend to not accept sitting far in advance. I’m great for that last minute trip or booking.

I have a fenced in garden, and look after dogs along with my dog friendly cocker spaniel Charlie. I offer a truely dog friendly home where your dog is welcome to curl up on the sofa or on the bed after their walk. Happy to crate if preferred. I offer off lead( if approved by you) walks in the woods and the heaths. I am used to working line and high energy dogs and their needs.

I will make sure I understand your dogs needs and temperament , and if they have and behaviour or medical needs. It would be great to know your dogs commands and cues so I can compliment their training when they’re with me. Plus if they have any special skills like opening doors or climbing counters, or if they have any reactivity to dogs or livestock. I will then tailor their care to their needs. I will not be able to accommodate overnights or daycare for any dogs that will be reactive to my dog in my home. But I am happy to do pop in visits and 1on1 dog walks for them. I request that all dogs are fully vaccinated and have received their boosters, and have regular flea, tick and worming prevention treatment, both to protect my dog, and due to the rural nature of our walks
A typical day
I love exploring the woods and heaths with Charlie and your pup. Expect lots of enrichment games on our walks. I also practice agility training in my garden, and would love to do some stuff with your pup if it’s their thing! Hot weather- I will continue to walk dogs early in the morning and late at night instead when the temperature is below 24C depending on dog breed and any heat susceptible conditions. Individual assessment and discussion with owners about this if your dog’s stay is due to be warm while they’re with me.

I specialise in looking after working breeds and high energy dogs, although I’ll happily look after your sofa pup too! Offering a wrap around service including pickup/ drop off, daycare and sitting in my home with my dog. Cuddles and lots of enriching walks with scent work and training, and regular pupdates so you can keep up to date with your dogs adventures with me.

I cannot recommend Jodie highly enough. She looks after my cocker spaniel, Aaron Burr, and quite simply, she is his favourite human! From the moment he arrives, Aaron is completely at ease in Jodie’s company. He absolutely adores the fuss and affection she gives him, and it’s clear how much she genuinely loves and understands dogs. Knowing he is so happy and relaxed with her gives me complete peace of mind. We often leave Aaron with Jodie for two to three weeks at a time while we’re away on holiday, and we never have a moment’s worry. He has the most wonderful time with her and Charlie, enjoying long countryside walks and plenty of play. We always joke that he’s been on ‘Auntie Jodie’s Bootcamp’ because he comes home so lean after all the running around! Jodie is reliable, caring and treats Aaron as if he were one of her own. Anyone looking for someone to care for their dog would be incredibly lucky to have Jodie!
Jodie looked after our spaniel Buddy for 4 nights and we couldn’t be happier! We got regular updates with photos and videos about what he’d been up to and all the playtimes and walks they’d enjoyed. From the first update only a few hours after we’d left him we could see he was right at home with Jodie & Charlie and it put our minds right at ease. I was anxious about leaving Buddy with someone new but there was absolutely no need with Jodie - she provided everything needed to make Buddy’s stay a home from home. Jodie is absolutely wonderful and Buddy couldn’t have been happier with his stay. Highly recommend & we know who we’ll be contacting in future!🤩
Jodie was very responsive from the moment of first contact and was kind enough to come and do a quick meet'n'greet with my pooch a few days before the required appointment. It was clear to see she had done this many times before as my skitty rescue felt comfortable enough to approach within a few minutes! During her alotted visit, Jodie - true to her word - sent updates and a nice handful of pics and vids to evidence the care and attention my doggie often needs. Thank you Jodie! We know who to call in next time! 🤗
Jodie looks after our spaniel Toby while we go on holiday. He has the best time with her dog Charlie and we know Toby is being so well looked after. She walks for hours and treats the boys like kings. Half the time Toby doesn't even want to come home. We wouldn't leave him with anyone else when we go away.
