I’m a freelance writer who works remotely. My flexible schedule allows me plenty of time for pet sitting and dog walking. I’m also an avid hiker who is always up for taking your pet on a leashed romp through the neighborhood or on nearby trails.

About Jodi L.
Communication
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
During our first few days together, I often give pets extra attention and exercise— especially if I notice signs of separation anxiety. Dogs and cats are excellent communicators! I do my very best to pay attention to their cues so that I can help them feel more at ease while their humans are away.
Information Jodi L. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog is aggressive or anxious around other dogs or people, and any relevant medical or behavioral info. Feel free to let me know if your dog has any special requirements, likes, or dislikes. Every client will receive a pet info sheet so that I have a record of care instructions, owner concerns, and preferences. Unfortunately, I can’t accept pets that haven’t been treated for ticks and fleas (e.g. Frontline). I also can’t accept special needs pets that require 24-hour care.
A typical day
Different dogs have different needs. I’ve cared for shy, anxious pups who need extra love and attention while their humans are away. I’ve sat for energetic dogs who need a lot of physical activity, and for older pups who prefer a slower pace. I typically let pets set the tone of the day (though of course, parent instructions come first).

I’m an insured and experienced pet sitter and dog walker committed to ensuring the well-being and happiness of every pet entrusted in my care. Whether it’s providing photo updates for pet parents, a neighborhood jog to get those zoomies out, or just being a calming presence for shy dogs and cats, I strive to make sure you and your pet are both happy with my service.
Reviews
Jodi is *amazing* - absolutely wonderful person, highly professional, and our senior cat was SO content when we returned. He was cared for so well- If you have the opportunity to work with Jodi, do it in a heartbeat.
We appreciated Jodi’s desire to learn about Cy prior to her stay with him. She kept us informed with notes and pics each day. We found our home as we left it and came home to a happy, happy dog. We would have Jodi back again and recommend her to others.

Jodi was fantastic! She went above and beyond to make sure our dog, Bocce, was comfortable and well cared for. Before our trip, she even came over to meet him so he’d know her. Jodi took the time to understand who he is and what he needs, which meant a lot since he’s a young, high-energy Rottweiler mix. She has a deep understanding of dogs, their behavior, and training. While we were away, she checked in regularly with updates and pictures that showed how happy and relaxed he was. Her genuine care and attentiveness gave us complete peace of mind. We were able to enjoy our trip without worry, knowing Bocce was being cared for as if he were her own. We highly recommend Jodi!
Jodi was absolutely amazing with our dog, Maggie! From the moment we met her, we could tell she was both professional and genuinely caring. She kept us updated with thoughtful communication and photos, which gave us total peace of mind knowing Maggie was in the best hands. Maggie clearly felt comfortable and loved, and we couldn’t have asked for better care. On top of that, Jodi left our home spotless — neat and clean as if she’d never been there. We so appreciated her kindness, attention to detail, and the way she went above and beyond. We would trust her with Maggie anytime and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate sitter.
