We have college-aged boys, a boxer, and a terrier mix to play with your dog. Our front yard is enclosed by a four-foot fence between two driveways and the rest of our nearly half-acre lot is partially fenced. I am self-employed part-time outside the home but rarely are no humans home for more than four hours. All of our dogs over the last twenty years have come to us in need of a new home. We also have two cockatiels adopted from the Humane Society. Our driveway wraps around the house. Please use the entrance on the right that has the address post. The gate to the front door is at the front corner of the house. (Updated November 27, 2024) Rover has a tendency to push through requests in excess of our capacity. To you the booking request will look normal. However, to us, Rover acknowledges the request is outside our booking parameters and we can decline without it affecting our metrics. Although we endeavor to accommodate as many of our preexisting clients as we can in such situations our third party insurer limits us to FIVE (5) overnight guest dogs. (Added June 7th, 2023) *** DROP-OFF and PICKUP Schedule. *** Please respect members of our household have responsibilities requiring adequate sleep. Pickup and drop offs outside reasonable hours can be very disruptive. Our neighbors appreciate this, too. Please drop off before 7PM to allow your pet to settle in before bedtime. Please pick up before 8PM. No drop off or pick up before 7AM Monday thru Saturday. No drop off or pick up before 2PM on Sundays, New Year's Day, and July 5th. No drop off or pick up after Noon on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day**, New Year's Eve Day, and Independence Day. NO DROP OFF OR PICK UP ON CHRISTMAS DAY. ** NO DROP OFF OR PICK UP ON DECEMBER 24TH IF IT IS A SUNDAY. *** Food. *** We feed breakfast and dinner. Lunch if a guest eats three meals a day. Grazers will need to fit into a meal schedule as food left out will be EATEN BY OTHERS. To the extent possible please portion your pet's meals in labeled zip lock bags. This is especially important during the summer and holidays. Please allow for additional days as airline hiccups happen. Please bring a labeled food bowl. We have several water bowls set out around the house. We have limited space for raw or refrigerated food so please check with us before booking. (Updated December 30, 2023)

This was our 1st Rover experience with our 9 mo old puppy. We were understandably nervous and a bit anxious leaving our fur baby overnight but knew we needed a plan so we could enjoy some travel opportunities. Our girl Stevie had the best time at Jodi and Arthur's home. She played with their own pets and other guests. So we wouldn't miss her or wonder how she was doing, they sent us videos of her living her best life while mom and dad enjoyed a night away. Thanks for taking such great care of our girl. Looking forward to her next stay.

Safety, trust & environment

*** Meet and Greets for new client dogs *** Meet and Greets are required by our third party insurance provider, Pet Care Insurance, to assess guest dog's suitability. If Rover required them their insurance would have to cover any unfortunate incidents. Our dogs have been injured during meet and greets. We require one week lead time on new client bookings to allow time to have a meet and greet. Existing clients can book on short notice if we have the availibility. ROVER SYSTEM HAS A TENDENCY TO AUTO CANCEL MEET AND GREETS! If we have NOT contacted you about a scheduling change MEET AND GREET IS STILL ON! If you need to cancel PLEASE CONTACT US or we will assume it is still on. (ROVER %$#$#%#%!!!) *** INDEPENDENCE DAY *** Our neighborhood becomes a war zone! We block out the week leading up to Independence Day to avoid new dog guests. We will accept requests from previous guests that are not easily spooked nor become a flight risk. We have taken in neighbors' spooked dogs so this is a serious concern. *** UNALTERED MALES *** Male dogs that get aggressive when female dogs are around or engage in marking behavior inside the house MUST BE NEUTERED before the next booking! If neutering does not rectify the situation your pet will NO LONGER be welcomed. *** EXTENDED STAYS *** After about three weeks your dog will think our place is his or her new home. If your dog is territorial and aggressive at your fence line, he or she will become territorial and aggressive at ours. Please let us know. Updated October 5, 2023
