I’m currently working full time as a pediatric nurse. Depending on my schedule, I usually am away 8-12 hours at work. However, I always make sure that when I’m cat sitting, there’s no conflict with my work schedule for their needs and make sure that when I’m cat sitting, I’m giving them 100% of my attention. If I’m doing a cat drop in visit, I usually go before or after a shift depending on the owner/cats needs.

When caring for a cat in a client’s home, I usually try to follow their regular daily routine. Being cared for by someone other than your owner can be an adjustment at first so I like to stick to a routine they know can rely on. I try to go to the cats own pace by providing play or cuddles until they can get more comfortable with me.

I don’t have any restrictions with cats. I like to know their routine, any additional needs they might require while you’re away (i.e. medications, etc), as well as how often you’d like to be contacted with updates/photos.
A typical day
I usually ask clients what do their cats love playing with/doing. Some cats love certain toys over others so knowing what they love to play with is important to make sure they are having fun.
