For Boarding: Relaxed + safe environment! I have a fenced in yard, so your pet is safe and free to be outside at its discretion as the back door is typically open for them to come in/out as they please. Sunbathing is a favorite pastime here! Pets are welcome on the couch and in the bed. I have a crate and baby gates as needed. Your pups will be in the greatest location in South Tampa - a lovely, clean townhome your pet will call home for the duration of their stay, access to all the amenities including couches, seating and a beautiful king size bed... plus, the great outdoors, including a gorgeous patio with all the birds, squirrels and lizards, fresh air, lots of walks, belly rubs and an all-around fun, peaceful, quiet and relaxing vacation!

Información que a Jocelyn B. le gustaría saber sobre tu mascota

Please communicate any special needs, personal preferences, administration of meds instructions, ICE instructions and anything else you want me to know! I love all dogs, but there will always be a special place in my heart for pugs and senior dogs! I promise lots of love and care to all dogs who I am lucky and thankful to have the opportunity to watch!

Un día normal

I have a great neighborhood for dog walking with Iots of shady spots, trees + other pups to see as we walk through the neighborhood. Your pup will be leashed prior to leaving the house and unleashed once back inside. We will not visit dog parks and your dog will only be off leash within the confines of my home and yard. My perimeter gate is secure, so no worry of escaping. There is plenty of space to play ball out back, or just lounge. The perimeter streets of my neighborhood are W. Kennedy, S. Armenia, W. Azeele, S. MacDill. We will not walk on these main, perimeter streets. My home is located in South Tampa and is in a central, convenient location easily accessible to I-275 & I-4, Crosstown Expressway, downtown Tampa and Tampa International Airport. Be prepared for lots of photos because I love sharing photographs of your pup in play, adventure and relaxation!

Special Needs + Senior Pups!

Experiencia en el cuidado de mascotas

Effective 7-19-25, I am now Pet CPR & First Aid certificated through the Professional Animal Care Certification Council (PACCC) completed at ProjectPup in Clearwater, FL. Old dogs are the best dogs, and I am ready and available to take care of yours! A bit about me... Hi! I am Jocelyn and after 19 years as pug mom to Ivy and Brody I was rendered pug-less. While not yet ready to be a full-time dog owner again just yet, I am in a position to offer much love and outstanding care to your special friend. A bit about my experience... Ivy my black pug lived for 14 years/nine months (d. 2015). She was diabetic the last six years of her life which meant twice-daily insulin injections and a very strict diet of prescription food. Brody lived for 14 years/two months (d. 2019), and was special needs his entire life (doggie downs syndrome). He was also challenged with other ailments such as vestibular disease, bladder stones and hip dysplasia. Both pugs had chronic eye and skin issues throughout their lives which required daily meds and cleaning, not to mention breathing issues due to brachycephalic. Their challenges, and the knowledge and patience required to properly take care of those challenges, is what positions me to be a champion of outstanding care in your absence. A bit about my home + space... Let's schedule a meet and greet! My two-story townhouse features a fenced in back patio area with pavers, shade, foliage and space for sniffing, snarffeling, sunbathing and a quick potty break, plus lots of birds, squirrels and lizards. When I am home the back doors are typically open (weather permitting), so your pet will be free to roam in and out, and enjoy the cool tile floor after sunbathing! The back patio fence is 6-feet high and is safe, secure and flush with the ground, so your pup is very safe. Front French doors are a doggie favorite! Pups love to sit at the front door and watch the passersby, and my neighbors love it, too. People still mention how they miss seeing Brody's face smashed against the glass! Your pup is welcome on all downstairs furniture - a couch and a chair. There are blankets and pillows on which they can snuggle. When I am not home your pet will be restricted to the downstairs portion of the townhome. I have a baby gate to block off access to the staircase. They are not permitted upstairs unsupervised. I do/can keep pets from different families separated when I am away as an additional safety measure. My downstairs area features tile floors, so accidents are no worry. A newly renovated open kitchen space will ensure feeding time is comfortable and bright. Depending on the needs and preferences of your pet, they are welcome to sleep upstairs in my bed, downstairs on the couch or in their crate. Also, my space is not shared so there is no need to worry about anyone coming or going and compromising your pup's safety. My home is protected with a fire and security alarm, as well as Ring doorbell, to ensure the utmost protection while I am away or when asleep. For your convenience I have a collapsible crate, harnesesses, blankets, plenty of dog towels, poop bags, leashes, toys, treats and upright dog bowls for use during your pet's stay. Please provide dog bed(s), toys, treats and food, and any other items you wish to bring to ensure a comfortable stay, as well as any special needs instructions and preferences. I do host pets from different families at the same time. Four pups are typically my maximum pack size and there may be times when there may be more due to crossover with pup drop off/pick up. When requesting a stay I will be sure to let you know of any guests already booked! A bit about my schedule... I work a flexible schedule out of the home, typically 10 AM - 7 PM, and am home mid-day to care for your pup. Your pet should be comfortable and house trained to be alone for up to four hours. Your pet will be walked at the very minimum three times per day - morning, midday, evening. The door to the patio will be open throughout the day when I am home. I love being outdoors and walk frequently, so your pet will have a lot of opportunity for fresh air on a walk or in the stroller, or both! I am home for the holidays and host no guests, so I am an ideal, safe and convenient dog sitter for your beloved. Celebration... Your pup deserves a pawty! I love to celebrate the little things, so please let me know of birthdays, gotcha-days and any special occasions that need to be noted! I have costumes, can give a special treat, sing a song, make a card + get the pawty started with the pack! Holidays will always be fun + special, especially Halloween! All-Inclusive Boarding... In addition to all that's been detailed, my services always include access to my household amenities, my couch/bed, walks, administering meds, cuddling, face/eye cleaning, belly rubs, poop pick up, laundry, mending toys, house cleaning, fresh water, fresh linens, treats, cleaning bowls after every meal, thorough clean-up after accidents, peepee pads/diapers as needed, toys/bones, drop-off/pick-up times convenient to your schedule, photos, celebration + a happy, fun, relaxing environment! In closing... Geriatric, special needs, or not, your pup will receive the best care, most attention and all of my love during their stay with me. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to seeing you and your pup soon! PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE ROVER BILLING POLICY FOR BOARDING: Nightly rates are based on a 24 hour time period from drop-off to pick-up. The following extended care rates may apply for each pet on the booking if the end time on the final day of the stay is more than 2 hours later than the start time on the first day of the stay. This ensures that sitters are compensated for their additional time. 2-8 additional hours: +50% of the sitter’s nightly rate. 8+ additional hours: +100% of the sitter’s nightly rate.
