🐾 Hello! I’m Jo (aka Joannimal, given to me due to my fondness of all types of critters!) I recently formed my petsitting business Creature Comforts In-Home Pet and Plant Care & I’m happy to have been partnering with Rover since 2019! I have been taking care of animals since I began riding horses at age 9. I have experience with dogs, cats, horses, rodents, aquatic frogs and reptiles! I currently have a sweet female Miniature Daschund, Harley, who's around 10 years old, and a gorgeous male 3 year old void kitty named Gerard (/Rawr/Little Man/Sweet Pea, etc, etc).

While my daytime schedule doesn’t make me a great fit for young puppies or pets with major separation anxiety, it does allow me the availability to make them feel safe and secure overnight (or on a drop-in basis) while their people are out.

This is the third time I have used Jo to watch my dogs, and for as long as we live here, she will always be my first call! Jo goes above and beyond with our dogs and with our home. Head-and-shoulders above any other sitter we have used on this service. Pictures and videos daily remind us that our pups are in good hands. They always look so happy with her! Walks, pets, snacks, she does it all. She even tidied up the house before we got home. I will *absolutely* hire Joannimal again!

Hesitant to reach out because your rescue dog's behaviors are less than "best of show" at any given time? No worries! My current role as a canine care tech at an animal shelter has taught me to understand and navigate the unique needs (and sometimes challenges) that come along with rescued dogs. My training has led me to become specialized in handling (or not-handling) people-shy, reactive, or resource-guarding dogs safely and patiently. I strive to always respect an animal and follow their lead, so as to not push them past their comfort zones. I'm here to provide comfort for your pets, and peace of mind for you!
