Hi! I’m Jo, and animals have been a part of my life since I was two years old. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, ducks, chickens, hamsters, and more, and I also helped my mom foster and rehome cats. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and I genuinely treat every pet in my care like part of the family. (Although I’ll admit—reptiles still freak me out a little! 😂) I know how important it is to feel comfortable with the person caring for your pet, so my goal is to provide a safe, loving environment while respecting the routines and instructions that make your pet feel most at home. I care for the pets in my home by taking them on regular walks and making sure they are loved. Depending on what each owner requires I am flexible. When I care for pets in your home I respect whatever rules provided by owners to ensure they get quality care.

Buca stayed with Joanne for a few days. Joanne was nice and responsive, but drop-off was disorganized: the timing changed, and upon drop-off Buca and her belongings were taken into Joanne’s car for a work call upon drop off. I only ever met her in the driveway and didn't see where Buca was staying which made me a little uneasy as an overbearing dog mom. At pickup, Buca and all of her belongings smelled very unpleasant, which is unusual for her, and one immediate bath didn’t fix the situation. I packed all of Buca’s quick grooming options (wipes and sprays) for Joanne’s use as well. I'd encourage future clients to ask for a home tour or a meet-and-greet, and to request regular updates before booking.
Joanne seems really sweet but I was disappointed she didn’t use the Rover check ins regularly so communication was limited. Then she lost our house key. Perhaps she was just having a bad week but we will not book Joanne again.

Joanne is wonderful! We’ve used her multiple times and she has been so great to our pup every time. She’s always on time, quick to respond and sends pictures :) highly recommend!!

Schedule
Currently I work from home full time but with the yard am able to let them out regularly during work hours and can snuggle with them while I take calls!

- I’d love to know about your pet’s personality and normal routine, including whether they’re high or low energy and how much exercise they typically need. Please let me know if they shed heavily so I can provide extra brushing as needed, as well as any allergies, food restrictions, sensitivities, medications, or other special needs. I also require pets to be up to date on flea prevention and all major vaccinations.
