I've cared for and trained a wide variety of small to larger dogs ever since I was a young girl, from puppies to seniors. Recently, my family had to say goodbye to our beautiful 15 year old furry friend Patches. I am looking to nurture this love of dogs through caring for local dogs in the community, requiring walks or boarding (in my home, with large fenced in backyard). I currently work part time as a fitness professional so have much time and positive energy to share with your precious friend.

Joanne and her family are amazing. They went above and beyond to take care or our two dogs for 16 days. Our dogs have quirks as most dogs do but she embraced them. She was in constant communication with me and sending lots of photos. She made it a second home for them and I couldn't be more grateful!!!!
Joanne was fantastic with our big fur baby Koda. He received lots of attention and walks. He was in good hands with Joanne and her family they were all amazing with Koda. Joanne sent us lots of photos and kept us updated while we were away which we really appreciated. We would definitely book with Joanne again! We highly recommended Joanne as she took great care of Koda.
Joanne was fantastic with our dog, Penny! She kept us updated with photos and stories throughout Penny’s stay, which gave us great peace of mind. Joanne is caring, trustworthy, and clearly loves dogs. Her family was wonderful, and Penny enjoyed lots of walks, attention, and affection while staying in their home. We’re so glad we found Joanne and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter!
Joanne has been amazing, we just recently started with some walks and had our first weekend of boarding and we are so glad we found Joanne ! She is great at keeping us posted with photos and how the days are going. Our Leo loves her and she takes amazing care of him. You will not find a better caregiver and companion for your dog than Jo. This is the first time in my little sister‘s adult life that she has not had her own dog. Every dog that my sister has had in her life has had the best long healthy, happy life because she has treated each dog like a family member. Rover is the perfect fit for Jo. She is equal parts active, fun, attentive, loving, loyal, affectionate, wise, kind, caring, protective and health-conscious. Your dog will be in very good hands with Jo. And I’m quite sure any dog in her care will love her as much as I do.

Schedule
I am available for weekday, afternoon walks, according to the needs of your dog. This could be a individual or group leash walk, a social off leash park, or a swim at the lake, depending on our agreed upon arrangement. For boarding I am available 7 days a week with your dog being cared for in a loving home with myself, my husband, and our 2 adult children in post secondary studies. We are all very familiar, love connecting, playing with and caring for dogs.

I have a large, fenced in yard and live in a lovely pet friendly community close to trails, on & off leash parks and Lake Ontario. I will respect how you wish for your dog to be cared for and enjoy open communication to ensure we are a suitable fit. With a professional background in fitness & wellness, you'll find me to be very safety conscious (current Standard First Aid & CPR) along with being a active, trusted certified Personal Trainer, Yoga & Pilates teacher for 2 local community centres. Having much experience interacting and caring for dogs of all ages and sizes, I assure you your furry pal will be in loving hands. Additionally, I would enjoy sending you photos to see what they're up to.
A typical day
I enjoy nurturing your dog both physically and mentally. We'll go for long walks in nature, enjoying all the smells and sights. According to your preferences and dogs personality this can be a individual or group walk, on leash, or off leash park, or even a swim at the lake, if suitable. We can also play mentally stimulating games such as hide and go seek of toys or treats or enjoy chasing balls, squirrels ,& birds in our deep, fenced in back yard.
