It’s really helpful to know as much as possible about each pet before they stay with me. Things like: Their usual routine (meal times, walk lengths, nap times). Any medical needs, allergies, or medications. How they get along with other dogs, cats, or people. Favourite toys, games, or comforts that help them feel at home. Any behaviours to be aware of (e.g. nervousness, pulling on the lead, separation anxiety). The more I know about their personality and habits, the better I can make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while they’re with me.

A typical day with me is all about keeping pets happy, comfortable, and entertained. We’ll start with plenty of fresh air – whether that’s a morning walk around the local area, some garden play, or a mix of both depending on their needs. Throughout the day, I like to include fun activities like fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys, and plenty of cuddle time. For pets who enjoy socialising, there are opportunities for safe play and interaction, while those who prefer quiet time can relax in a calm space. I also make sure to keep up with their usual routines for meals, toilet breaks, and naps, so they feel settled and at home. Every pet is different, so I tailor the day to their personality – whether that means long adventures, gentle strolls, or extra lap time.
