For as long as I remember, animals have been the only constant defining piece of the puzzle that is my life. I have personally raised dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, birds, hamsters, goats and a lamb! Training, raising and saving animals gives me hope and a purpose. My experience goes all the way back to my first dog at the age of 9, who passed at the old age of 16.5years old in 2025. I have ridden and worked with horses for many years, as well as started my dog training journey in my later teens, turning it into my profession ever since. My goal is to provide top quality care to pet owners, as I understand the trust it takes to leave your pets behind and do not take that responsibility lightly. I know how I want my animals treated should I ever have to leave them, so I strive to give that same (picky) care to other owners. I have boarded & trained dogs for over 4 years and plan to open a boarding facility for both canines & equines in the future.

Joanna did an amazing job with our dog, Ottis. He can be a handful and gets over excited but she was able to calm him down and manage his behavior beautifully. I was so happy to receive the well written reports & see the wonderful pictures of my boy. This was my first time using Rover and not a kennel - so I am delighted to highly recommend both Rover services & Joanna as a skilled dog sitter. Thank you again Joanna, job well done. This gave me peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy our time away from home.

Schedule
I am a stay at home mom so I will usually be home more than 90% of the time to spend with your pet, with three dogs of my own, one cat and our farm animals. Both my inside dogs are crate trained, house trained, and one of them has his Canine Good Citizen Cert. the other is a young female working on her mannerisms but very friendly. Our third pup is our outside guardian livestock dog.

Safety, trust & environment
We have four beautiful acres for lots of play and exercise. Most of the acreage is fenced, and our house is gated off. I am able to crate dogs if necessary, but am home most of the time so crating usually only at night time if applicable. They will be able to take as many potty breaks needed, get lots of play time, of course attention, and have access to water all day long (unless otherwise specified). Note* If they are not good with cats, that is not a problem as mine stays separated from any dogs beside my own.
Pets
A typical day
Boarding & doggy day care: I love to provide mental & physical enrichment for dogs by playing brain games, doing training exercises and playing. Walks are always provided, we have big enough property that we can walk them on. I do not use dog parks for safety, if we go to the park, I will take them to a normal one. Drop ins/dog walking: These visits are catered to your specific requests for your pup(s) or kitties. Whatever it is that you need to be done, whether it be letting them out to potty & providing play time/attention, or feeding, etc, I am here to help!

- I prefer dogs to be crate trained during over night stays, as I have personal dogs as well and I like to keep everyone safe when there isn’t an eye on them. I do have cameras up throughout my house. *Note: drop in visits further than 10 miles from my home are an additional $5 each way ($10 per visit). EXCEPTIONS: If you book more than 2 drop in visits per day, the additional charge will be reduced to just $10 per day OR if you book multiple pets this fee will be dropped completely! The extra fee helps cover gas costs & driving time. As much as I like to provide the best care I can at a reasonable price, I also have to maintain a balance. I appreciate everyone’s understanding!
