Hi, I’m Joanna! Ever since I was about 10 years old, I’ve been the person friends and family turn to when they need someone they can trust with their pets—whether that’s for sitting, walking, or advice. My lifelong passion for animals led me to pursue formal training, and I’m proud to be a graduate of Sheridan College’s Animal Care program. Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of pet-related fields, including grooming, boarding, and assisting with both routine and emergency care in veterinary practices. I’m also Fear Free Certified and RECOVER CPR Certified, so your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I care for every pet and home with the same respect and attention I would want for my own. I truly believe that pets are happiest in familiar environments, which is why I offer in-home care to help them stick to their routines and feel more at ease while you’re away. As a pet parent to two dogs, I completely understand how tough it can be to leave them—even just for the day. My goal is to provide peace of mind through clear communication, genuine care, and a meet-and-greet beforehand to ensure we’re the right fit. I have a fully fenced-in yard, providing a safe and secure space for your pup to run, play, and get their zoomies out while staying at my home. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with the utmost respect and always follow your specific instructions to ensure consistency and comfort for your pet. Whether it’s crating at night, following feeding and rest routines, or making sure fresh water is always available—I’m committed to maintaining the same level of care you provide every day.

Joanna was fantastic! She looked after our Golden Doodle who is has anxiety and my quirks. Not only did she provide excellent care where I felt confident being away but with her understanding of animals was able to meet my Dog where he was at and create a bond with my Dog where he felt less anxious. I would highly recommend her and so grateful to have met her as she is a kind person with a love for animals!
If I could give more than 5 stars, this animal behaviouralist is a natural, with cats and dogs! Joanna has provided an invaluable service, being available and responding fast to questions this guidance. I'd highly recommend her to sit for your fur babies, Joanna was available for overnight, throughout the day and I will certainly be reaching out to her for further support while I'm not available. Joanna did a wonderful job with our two dogs. They adored her and it was easy to see the feeling was mutual. She took care of them like they were her own and also cared for our home in the very best way. She provided us with many photos and videos and stayed in regular contact. I can’t thank her enough and will absolutely book her every time we are away!
Joanna is a prime candidate for being a part of the Rover team. She has excellent communication, organization skills. She is extremely patient with animals of all shapes sizes and lifestyles. She has such a passion for the wellness of each and every animal she comes in contact with. She is responsible and knowledgeable on the well being and the medical sides of this field.

I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate a variety of booking times and to give each pet the personalized attention they deserve.

- I like to learn as much as possible about your pet to provide the best and most personalized care. Before our booking, I kindly ask that you share the following details: • Health Information: Please let me know about any medical conditions, how they are managed, and if medication is required—how and when it should be given (e.g., hidden in food, wrapped in cheese, etc.). • Behavioral Notes: If your pet has any behavioral quirks—such as food or toy guarding, reactivity, or fear triggers—please share the best ways to handle them. On the flip side, I’d love to know about their favorite toys, routines, or if they have a doggy best friend they enjoy seeing! • Feeding & Allergies: Let me know about any food allergies or sensitivities, as well as their usual feeding times and treat routines. • House Rules: Whether it’s staying off the furniture, waiting to be fed after your dinner, or not being allowed in the kitchen during meals, I’m happy to follow your household rules to keep things consistent. • Emergency Contacts: Please provide a vet contact and any emergency numbers, just in case anything unexpected comes up. The more I know, the better I can ensure your pet is happy, safe, and comfortable in your absence!
