Pet care experience
A dogs paradise in the countryside!
I was active on Rover for a couple of years and have taken a break whilst my elderly dog lived out his final years in peace. I am now looking to offer my services again with the help of my 17 year old daughter who does home study for her a-levels and likes to take regular breaks / walks between lessons. She has helped me take care of the pets we have looked after on Rover as well as friends dogs and cats whilst they have been away on holiday. I have over 15 years experience and have had my own dogs for 20+ years. I connect well with all animals and love a good walk just as much as chilling out on the sofa with my furry friends afterwards. I am self employed and work from home and live on the doorstep of some of the best walks in Yorkshire. As I’m self employed I take many breaks throughout the day for walks and fresh air. I have a large back yard and endless walks on my doorstep. I live in a large detached house and the dogs will have the run of downstairs. I can offer any specialist care required. I do have a cat who spends most of her days outside but if your dog isn’t happy being around cats this is probably not the sit for you. My daughter can also do in-home sitting with my assistance.

Felt very comfortable leaving Jazzy with Joanna and her family, she seemed to have a lovely time and was very well cared for.
Marshall and benny had a great time staying with Joanna, she kept me up to date with what they were all doing each day and sent photos. Benny can be a bit anxious with people and dogs at times but he settled well and even made a new friend. Both dogs were happy when I picked them up and Marshall wasn’t even bothered about coming home. Will definitely be using Joanna again
Joanna has been brilliant from accommodating our tricky pick-up and drop-off arrangements to keeping me up to date with what Mollie was doing throughout her stay.She clearly gave Mollie a warm welcome into her home and family,they had lots of excursions and Mollie was quickly her happy confident self.Every aspect of having Joanna look after Mollie has been an absolute pleasure and I can't recommend her highly enough.It seemed like a treat of holiday for Mollie and we look forward to a next time.

Schedule
As I’m self employed and work from home, pet care is part of my daily routine. I’m never away for long spells during the day or evening and your pets will have lots of company.

A typical day
Being in the heart of the countryside, we have tons of amazing walks on our doorstep. From climbing up hills and through woods to more regular footpaths by the side of the river for the less adventurous dogs.
