We've always had dogs as a family, from Shelties to Golden Retrievers and now the cutest cream coloured dachshund, so I am used to caring for puppies, right through to senior dogs in their last few days. I am a gentle kind caring person with the patience to work quietly with any dog to ensure they overcome any anxieties or stresses, providing them with the right kind of walk on or off lead, be it in a secure field, open country side or local park. I helped out when a family member bred their Golden Retriever, helping at feed times, ensuring all puppies were fed , warm and safe and the cleaning up that came with it, to ensure a clean environment was maintained.

I asked Jo to look after Bruce at very short notice, when the sitter I had arranged fell ill less than 48 hours before I was due to go to the US. Jo responded to my request very quickly, which I was grateful for, as I was worried I wouldn’t be able to go on my holiday. My flight back from the US was then cancelled at the last minute, delaying me picking Bruce up by 24 hours. Again, at short notice, Jo agreed to look after Bruce. Whilst Bruce was with Jo he was clearly very well cared for, particularly during regular walks around the countryside, which he loved. I can’t thank Jo enough for her flexibility and can highly recommend.

Left my older dog with Jo during a heatwave so was naturally worried. On pickup the house was shaded and cool. My dog seemed very settled and relaxed. Happy with the stay thank you.
Thank you to Jo for looking after our little dog Pepe whilst we went away to Devon for 3 days. This was the first time we had left her overnight with someone else. On two other occasions we have left her with Jo during the day and would be very happy leaving her again. Pepe seemed to settle down and enjoyed her stays, the walks and beautiful garden.
Piper had great day with Joanna and Freddy.
Arlo was very happy with Joanna. I was also kept up to date with pictures throughout the day.

Schedule
My day is built around dog care, having recently retired from 9 to 5. Your dog will have my full attention and focus. I love walking and being outside in the fresh air, come rain or shine.

I have a secure fenced large tranquil garden, for dogs boarding with me , and inside a large open plan kitchen dining area for them to relax and enjoy their own space, finding a cosy corner for their bed or blanket.

A typical day
I love walking and have found some super spots in and around Cheltenham for dog walking. I like to be able to provide off the lead walking so that they can have the space to feel free. They have a good walk after which generally they are quite happy to have some quiet time curled up some where warm. Regular breaks in the garden with the sound of the stream, surrounded by trees. In the garden a great way for them to have fun is sprinkle some treats around the grass so they can sniff them out. Throwing a ball for them. I have a 'ball' where treats can be inserted which they have to work out how to get them out. They will not be bored.

- I always like for you to tell me as much as you can about your dog before I take them for a walk or have them to stay. It makes for a more enjoyable walk / stay and I can be prepared and cater for your dog's needs fully.
