Pet care experience

Experienced, loving pet care

I’m an experienced pet/house sitter, having looked after everything from blind toy poodles to escape artist hamsters in their homes - including managing baths, medication and vet visits. I grew up with beautiful energetic dogs and affectionate cats, and adore spending time with animals. I have a slew of friends’ dogs for who I’m the go-to person for overnight stays and walks, and like to get close to the pets I look after. I’ll always follow your instructions for your pet to the letter (but will have a sweet spot for dogs that are allowed cuddles with me on the sofa 🙂)

Joanna was the perfect sitter. She was polite, engaged with any needs of our pups and provided several photo updates, which we really appreciated. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her, and will definitely use her again - thanks Joanna!

It was our first time leaving our anxious Cavapoo who is very fussy and suffers from separation anxiety. Jo was wonderful with her and sent reassuring updates including lots of photos which really put our minds at ease. Jo is really caring and followed our instructions meticulously and went above and beyond taking care of not only Cleo but the house too. Cleo really bonded with Jo and it looks like they had a lovely time together. Having never left Cleo before, we thought we would come back to a very nervous, upset dog, however Cleo seems to have really grown in confidence since her time with Jo. Jo was so understanding when we were heavily delayed into the early hours of the morning at the airport. We will definitely use Jo again.

Cleo had a taster day with Jo which has put our mind at ease ahead of our holiday when she will be with her for 6 days. She sent pupdates and a photo during the day which was very reassuring. Cleo is very anxious around new people but she seemed to really like her.

I had a wonderful experience leaving my dog Flo with Joanna for one week while I was abroad. Joanna was patient, caring, and sent regular photos and feedback every day. I felt totally at ease and will use Joanna's service regularly throughout the year. Highly recommended! What I Loved: Daily updates with cute photos; Kind and patient care for Flo; Great communication while I was away; and Total peace of mind on my trip Future Plans: Will book again very soon for daily care and overnight stays; and I Plan to use Joanna's service regularly all year

Joanna did a brilliant job looking after Pablo, our little chihahua. He almost didn't want to come home after his stay with Joanna. Fabulous!

Safety, trust & environment

I like pet sitting in the animal’s own home as it puts them at ease and smooths the discomfort that can come from being looked after by a new person If you prefer them at my place, my basement flat has a very safe walled garden, but I also have access to a beautiful park-like communal garden, and the park and seafront are 5 mins from my flat.

A typical day

I’m always guided by the individual dog. If you pet needs a lot of energetic play and stimulation, then frequent walks Other dogs prefer a calmer environment in which case there will be lots of cuddles on the sofa and gentle play.
