I’ve been caring for animals my entire life. I grew up with cats, dogs and horses. I currently have my cat, Bear, who was raised alongside my Great Pyrenees, Bandit. I adopted Bandit when he was five and cared for him through his senior years, including managing daily medication and the extra attention that comes with an older, large-breed dog. That experience taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and attentive care, whether I’m looking after cats, energetic dogs, or senior pets who need a gentler approach.

Joanna was absolutely wonderful with Archie! She was incredibly kind and caring, and Archie was so happy to see her. He settled in right away, which made us feel comfortable leaving him in her care. Joanna updated us and sent pictures, which we really appreciated. Archie was happy, relaxed, and very well cared for. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be using Joanna’s services again.
Thank you so much Joanna for taking in Teddy last minute, something came up for us and we were truly grateful to find a reliable and caring person to care for him. Your kindness towards our pup didn’t go unnoticed- he had a vacation of his own!
Joanna did a great job! She was on time each day, did everything we asked to keep our pups happy, and sent us adorable pics to show us how they were doing. Our pups missed us while we were gone, but not as much thanks to Joanna's great care. We'll ask her back again!

Schedule
I work from home, so I’m around during the day for feedings, walks, playtime, and company. I’m also an active person, which makes it easy for me to keep up with pets who have more energy, while still sticking to their usual routines. With the flexibility of my job, I’m able to adapt my schedule to meet each pet’s individual needs.

In my home, pets are cared for in a comfortable, relaxed environment with access to my backyard and nearby walking trails for regular walks and fresh air. I do have a cat, so any pets staying with me need to be cat-friendly. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their usual routines closely — from feedings and walks to playtime and litter care — so they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after while you’re away. For drop-ins, afternoons and evenings work best with my schedule, but I’m always happy to chat and find what works best for you.

A typical day
I like to keep pets engaged in ways that match their personality and energy level. This can include walks on nearby trails, backyard playtime, games, and enrichment activities, as well as quieter bonding time for pets who prefer a calmer pace. For cats, that might mean interactive play, brushing, or simply keeping them company on their terms. I always follow the pet’s usual routine and preferences so their time with me feels fun, comfortable, and familiar.

I also appreciate details about medical needs, medications, allergies, or mobility limitations, as well as how your pet does with other animals, people, and new environments. The more I know ahead of time, the easier it is for me to keep your pet comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away.
