Being flexible is key. I would need to meet any dogs in my care in advance to make sure they are happy with me and visa versa. If in my home, the dogs would need to meet my two, again to make sure everyone is happy.

It is vital to know as much as the owner is willing to share with regard to their dog. The more I know, the better the experience for them. Also, if they are coming to my house, it is extremely important that they get to meet my dogs to ensure they are happy to be together
A typical day
Lots of play with balls and toys. As long as owners agree, bringing a snuffle mat is always good fun and gets their brain and nose engaged. Cuddles when necessary and lots of chat if that's what they want with the odd snooze when they are ready to. Really down to what the dog likes to do and responds to.

I have had all sorts of dogs in my life, pedigrees, rescues, Heinz 57s, all of them wonderful. I have nursed sick dogs as well as trained rescues.

Joanna is absolutely amazing and provides a brilliant service. She is very professional and trustworthy, with a wonderful nature and absolutely adores the dogs she cares for. She is very conscientious arranging a meet and greet beforehand, so she could fully understand our dogs needs, and their personalities. They get plenty of love, lots of cuddles and have a great time. I can definitely recommend her, and if my dogs could talk, they’d recommend her too.
I wanted to write to say how happy we were with the care and love given to our two rescue dogs by Joanna. They both have quite complex needs and it was such a relief to find someone who understood them and was able to be their ‘surrogate mum’ while we were away. Joanna has loved and cared for animals throughout her life. As a family we have had 4 cats, 1 rabbit, 2 hamsters and 9 dogs over the years.
