My home is cozy and comfortable for my dog guests. My goal is to make your beloved furry family member feel secure, safe and comfortable while in my care. My dog Penelope is a key part of the team. She provides companionship and will help to make your dog feel comfortable in our home.Penelope is quite experienced with having guest dogs in our home. Our cat Polly, will be in another part of the home. I will sleep with your furry family member in a bedroom at front of the home and a baby gate will section off the house so that your pet will be comfortable.

It is important that if your dog stays with me that they can be trusted to relax inside my home on the bed in my guest room and be happy to nap or play with their pet toys for no more four hours if I step out to go to the market, doctor's appointment, or dinner with the hubby.
Typowy dzień
Our day starts at around 8am. We get fed and go out to the backyard for some playtime around 10ish. I like to read and paint in my retirement...so I will incorporate some relaxation time with dogs cuddling on the couch and listening to soothing music. I live in a new community in Punta Gorda and have plenty of space in my backyard to get exercise as well as a walk around the community. . Evening meal and then some cuddle time on the couch with Joann to watch tv. Bedtime bathroom run around 9pm. We all huddle in the bed around 10pm. We all pile in the bed if my guest dog is comfortable or their own bed on the floor. Regardless we are all together for zzzzz.

I have 33 years experience with dogs. I can host dog breeds up to 50 pounds. It is important that your dog have a basic level of training and can follow commands. I have a medical background as I was an LPN in my earlier life. Now being retired, having raised my children and have had three dogs in my life...I offer my experience as a service in my community to host your furry family member. I will be offering my services in the Punta Gorda area in 2026.

Absolutely will be back. Joan was fantastic and cared for our dog like it was her own.
Joann is a phenomenal dog sitter. She took care of our dog for 10 days, and she was wonderful about providing photos and videos to keep us connected. Our dog sprints to her door when we arrive, so we know that she is very comfortable with her.
I recently had Joann watch my dog Tucker for the second time and once again she did an amazing job! Joann truly goes above and beyond when it comes to taking care of animals. She is incredibly responsible and attentive to Tucker’s needs and always keeps me updated with pictures and messages throughout his stay. Joann has a great set-up for pets, with a large fenced-in yard and plenty of space for dogs to run around and play. Overall, I would highly recommend Joann to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. I trust her completely with Tucker and know that he is in good hands whenever he stays with her.
