Information Joann H. would like to know about your pet
Up-to-date shot records, including Bordetella (kennel cough prevention) and a form of flea and tick prevention is required, for the safety and comfort of your pet and mine. Information such as anxiety, separation anxiety, fear of storms, fireworks, etc., as well as any illnesses, allergies, special diets or medication needs your dog(s) might have. I am unable to accommodate dogs with any history of aggression towards people or other animals, or a history of destructive behavior.
A typical day
We live on several acres in the country! Dogs are never outside without a leash! Safety is my priority! I do have several 30’ leads so they’re able to run outdoors.

Pet care experience
I've had dogs, cats, and many farm animals my entire life, from 20lb Cairn Terriers to 120lb German Shepherds, English Mastiffs, and Boerboels! Also, horses, cattle, goats and chickens. If you have any farm animals needing care while you’re away, I’m more than happy to care for them. Have experience with pigs and donkeys as well. I’m retired after 22 years in EMS. I have volunteered with many foster/rescue/transport groups. Your dog will be a member of my family during their stay! Their play time is their exercise and their bonding! Your dogs will be cuddled (if they approve!), loved on, have lots of walkies, and play time. If you'd like assistance with basic training, commands and crate training, I can also do that during their stay! (no charge.). A trained dog is a happy dog with a happy owner! I discount rates for extended stays, as well as multiple pets. I can give injections and medications, know basic first aid and CPR, and am knowledgeable about special diets, and senior dogs and cats. Picky eaters are my specialty! I have a huge heart for seniors!

Reviews

She has been such a godsend. We enjoy having her in our house and taking care of our 6 furry babies. She loves them like her own.

My dogs loved Joann and her dog, Sadie. I was very pleased with how well they adjusted and accepted her into the pack. We will definitely ask Joann to come back!

Joann did a wonderful job as usual and she still showed up after recently breaking a bone in her foot. She’s the best! I will continue to use her as long as she continues to do this.

Joann is amazing! We have a crazy hyper goldendoodle puppy, so it is always scary leaving him. Joann sent us so many pictures and always gave us updates. Our puppy absolutely loved her!!
