Dogs are my BFF!
I have been pet-sitting and walking dogs for my family for 20 years. I've mostly worked with German Shepherds, most notably an Alpha male who kept me on my toes :) I love taking care of dogs: walking, brushing, and hugging especially! I also love cats. I have my own cat and have 2 years experience as a cat socializer at the Wisconsin Humane Society. Cats and dogs communicate in their body language, their energy level, and their eating patterns. It's important that I know this as your pet sitter so I can watch out for anything that seems off. I am an early morning person, so if my schedule permits, I'm up for early morning duties. Safety, trust & environment
I make sure there is nothing toxic (including chocolate or grapes) out where dogs can grab them. I will follow all directions you give me to keep a safe routine for your pet.

Joan stayed for 3 days with my dog Charlie at my house. She was timely, responsive and took excellent care of both my home and my dog. I would absolutely ask Joan to pet/house sit for me again. Charlie is an old guy who can have separation anxiety causing him to pee in the house. Joan did such a great job making him feel safe and happy.

Schedule
I'm usually available after 3:30 and on weekends. The more notice I have for weekends, the more likely my calendar will be open. Additionally, I have seasonal breaks, so I have even more availability then.

- I would like to know if he/she has any triggers when I walk them; other dogs, chasing squirrels, etc. Also, if they take medicine. I love all dogs. If you have a Golden Retriever, I will want to take it home.
