I have experience caring for both cats and dogs of many sizes, personalities, and ages, including Great Danes, poodles, German Shepherds, and pets who are selective about the people they trust. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, personality, and comfort level so they can feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for in their own home. Special Care for Senior Pets Senior pets hold a special place in my heart. I understand that older cats and dogs may need additional patience, gentle handling, a slower pace, more frequent breaks, and close attention to changes in their comfort or behavior. I carefully follow feeding, medication, mobility, and household instructions provided by each pet owner. Whether your senior pet needs extra reassurance, help maintaining a familiar routine, or simply quiet and loving companionship, I will make sure they receive the individualized attention they deserve. Communication is one of my highest priorities. Pet owners receive regular written updates along with plenty of photos and videos, so they can see how their pets are doing and enjoy their time away without worrying. Clients have shared that my updates allowed them to completely relax during their vacations because they knew their pets were happy, comfortable, and receiving attentive care. I am punctual, responsive, detail-oriented, and respectful of every home I enter. In addition to caring for your pets, I am happy to help with thoughtful household details such as bringing in mail, caring for plants, managing trash cans, and leaving your home clean and welcoming. This was my first time using Rover for in-home pet sitting and boy am I thankful to have met Joan!! She met with me beforehand to answer any questions and meet my fur baby, Sprinkles, to go over her routine. While I was gone, she provided so many video, photo, and written updates as to how Sprinkles was doing! She even went above and beyond by checking my mail, bringing down my trashcan, and ensuring I had a clean house to come home to! I was able to totally relax on my family vacation because of Joan! I understand how important consistency is, so I carefully maintain their usual routines for feeding, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and companionship. My availability allows me to provide dependable, unhurried care and help pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away.

I care for pets by following their usual routine and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I carefully handle feeding, fresh water, litter boxes or potty breaks, medications, exercise, playtime, and companionship based on each pet’s individual needs. I provide regular updates with photos and videos, so owners always know how their pets are doing. I also respect and care for the home by keeping it clean and secure. When requested, I am happy to bring in mail, water plants, take out trash, and handle other small household tasks.

A typical day
I tailor activities to each pet’s personality, age, and energy level. This may include walks, gentle play, favorite toys, games, cuddle time, brushing, or simply relaxing together. For senior pets, I keep activities calm and comfortable, while younger or more energetic pets receive plenty of exercise, play, and attention.
