I am a lifelong dog lover; exercising, training, and loving dogs are my favorite jobs. I am trained in positive reinforcement behavior, and have a natural affinity for making dogs comfortable and relaxed. I believe strongly in the benefits of regular exercise and training, and make my own treats using only healthy ingredients. I am retired and all of my time is available to dedicate to your dog’s needs. Dogs deserve so much love and making them feel loved and cared for is my primary goal. Your dog is invited to the party! Joan is without a doubt the very best dog sitter we’ve ever had. She was loving, attentive and took our dog on numerous walks every day. She also sent lots of pictures every day. We will definitely use her again!
Luna loved staying with Joan. Joan walked her more than we do and Luna loved it. Luna is a somewhat anxious dog and will refuse to eat, but she had no problems staying with Joan. We got many updates (pfotos and videos) which helped with our anxiety. Would definitely use her again.

Joan was amazing, she took Olive for a walk as soon as I dropped her off so that Olive felt happy and comfortable with a new person. She sent lovely videos and pictures and Olive was so happy.
I have been working with Joan for over two years now and I can say that she has been incredible in every area that you want to see for something like this. Very strong communication, open to reasonable small last minute requests, and awesome with the visit itself. It can be very daunting nowadays to book a sitter or any other similar service as we just don’t interact face to face as much anymore as a society, we use these apps… but Joan’s great work easily takes that anxiety away and I’d be happy to highly recommend her to anyone I know.

Schedule
I am retired and can be of assistance with flexibility. During the hot months, I prefer to exercise the dogs in the cool early morning hours starting at 5am. Colder months provide greater flexibility.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog will be on a leash unless he/she is at the Dog Park (with your permission). If your dog prefers a crate, I will act appropriately.
A typical day
I do treat training (if permitted), and concentrate on providing a balance of sniffing opportunities and aerobic walking. Walking in our beautiful parks is my favorite activity; I bet your fur baby feels the same way.
