I am a lifelong dog lover; exercising, training, and loving dogs are my favorite jobs. I am trained in positive reinforcement behavior, and have a natural affinity for making dogs comfortable and relaxed. I believe strongly in the benefits of regular exercise and training, and make my own treats using only healthy ingredients. I am retired and all of my time is available to dedicate to your dog’s needs. Dogs deserve so much love and making them feel loved and cared for is my primary goal. Your dog is invited to the party! Joan is such a wonderful dog sitter. I never leave my pup with anyone because of how anxious she (and I) are about being apart. I was gone 4 whole days which would be the longest I’ve ever left her. She sent me so many videos, pictures and updates about her stay. I can only assume Dandi loved her vacation with Joan and got to go on so many adventures! My pup also has to use ramps to get up and down surfaces and she was so accommodating to her needs. I already plan to use her 2 more times coming up! Thank you for easing my nervousness about leaving her, Joan!
Joan was AMAZING! She watched Simba while we were out of town for our wedding. The day before, our dog had a weird accident and needed to be on antibiotics & closely monitored for licking his wound. I was so nervous to drop him off with a stranger, but Joan took great care of him. She took him on so many walks and provided several pictures and video updates throughout the day, putting me at ease. I’d take my dog back to Joan in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!!

Schedule
I am retired and can be of assistance with flexibility. During the hot months, I prefer to exercise the dogs in the cool early morning hours starting at 5am. Colder months provide greater flexibility.

Your dog will be on a leash unless he/she is at the Dog Park (with your permission). If your dog prefers a crate, I will act appropriately.
A typical day
I do treat training (if permitted), and concentrate on providing a balance of sniffing opportunities and aerobic walking. Walking in our beautiful parks is my favorite activity; I bet your fur baby feels the same way.
