Safety, trust & environment

I treat every animal with the love and care it deserves. Each animal is different so I customize my sessions to fit their specific wants and needs. Puppies and kittens are full of energy and can be destructive if they get pent up and bored. They need lots of play time. 😃 I have a large variety of toys to keep their little body active. Senior dogs need mental stimulation and to get up and move around. I have many mental enrichment puzzles to help prevent the onset of dementia and encourage movement to help their joints.

Information Jo L. would like to know about your pet

What does your pet like to do for fun? What are their favorite toys or games? What commands do you use with your dog? For example, sit, stay, off, come, leave it, drop it, wait. Would you like assistance with training your dog? Does your dog have a release word? Separation anxiety? Fear anxiety of other dogs, people or something else we may see outside? Any special needs, health issues or medications that I should know about? Allergies to food or the environment? Does your pet have accidents in the house and how would you like me to clean it up?

A typical day

I customize each pet care or training session to fit the pets needs, depending on their age and activity level. If your dog enjoys playing mental stimulation games I love doing enrichment puzzle activities to stimulate their minds and actually watch them get smarter! Every dog enjoys finding treats in a good snuffle matt! How about a fun go round with the Kong wobbler! (I bring the games) If they have energy to burn off, a great game of fetch can do the trick. How about a game of find it? (Also called Search) It's hide and seek with treats and they always love it! We go potty first, then, depending on the day and the weather we may play some mental enrichment games and then have exercise time. I play with them for the majority of the visit and then we settle back down with some petting so they can relax and nap until you get home. For senior dogs I may do some massage therapy for arthritis or inflammation pain with owners approval. Red light therapy is also available.

Jo is incredible, and I feel so lucky to have found her. She takes such thoughtful, loving care of Jake every single visit. She plays with him, gives him tons of affection, and always makes sure he gets outside time to explore. I love that she even updates me on the things he forages in the backyard — it shows how closely she pays attention to him. She keeps his water fresh, gives him his ice‑cube snacks, and sends the cutest photo updates. I feel at ease knowing he’s with her. Thank you, Jo!

My name is Mike my dogs name is Shy Which her breed is a Cane Corso . So she’s a large dog and some people are intimidated by her. Shy was not sure about Jo L at first. But within about four or five minutes, Shy had a chance to smell Jo L and then she got hugs from shy lol great first introduction extremely happy with that visit ! If you’re looking for someone with experience and a lot of knowledge as well as caring and patient to help you watch your dog, I would strongly recommend Jo L !
