I love dogs and cats! I do not currently own a dog or cat, but I volunteer with Our Companions in their Adopt a Shelter program spending time visiting and walking dogs in local shelters, and I have volunteered at their animal sanctuary in Ashford walking dogs. I am also in their Canine College program, taking and assisting in dog training classes. I enjoy using positive training techniques (treats and praise) to reinforce polite dog walking and attentive behaviors. I am comfortable walking dogs up to 70 lbs.

My recent experiences with Our Companions Animal Sanctuary and Canine College programs are teaching me so much about being a pet guardian for different kinds of dogs. I am learning about dog body language and how to help engage dogs in enrichment, calming, and attention-game activities while in a home, in a yard, and on a walk. I have friends who own cats, and I enjoy getting to know them as well.

Jo has been a good friend for many years. She loves animals and has spent a lot of effort studying dog training. She has worked with dogs and helped with rescue dogs. I have an English golden retriever. My dog Ellie loves Jo. Jo has walked with Ellie and me. Jo is always firm but gentle. She has worked hard to understand dog behavior. I recommend Jo to care for pets.
I would feel totally comfortable leaving my dogs in Jo's care. I've rarely seen another person as comfortable and loving around dogs. She is sensitive to their different needs and appreciates their different personalities. In addition, she is knowledgeable, reliable, and trustworthy. I can't recommend her highly enough.
If you're looking for someone to give your dog the same level of love and attention as you would, look no further! Not only is Jo a reliable dog caretaker, she takes the job very seriously, and has a vast knowledge of dog training for all different types of dog personalities. She is patient and loving, and there is no . There is no one else I would entrust my fur baby to.

Schedule
I have recently retired, which gives me some flexibility, and I am participating in a Canine College dog training program. I love dogs, and I am looking for more opportunities to meet and spend time with dogs. I also enjoy cats and would be happy to house sit and/or walk your cat as well!
