I have had many years of experience caring for dogs throughout my childhood and adult life. I have worked with Dogs since 1994 and have earned Certificates in Obedience, Grooming, Dog Massage and more. I am currently a foster home with 2 rescues in the area, I accept medical fosters and behavioral fosters. If I currently have a foster dog it will show that I’m unavailable because I only accept one family at a time. I consider the foster dog my family. I will not accept a foster dog during your pups stay and will not cancel your reservations in order to accept a new foster dog. My passion is giving dogs in need a safe haven, a quiet, loving home to recover while we look for their forever family. I will do my best to keep my Calendar updated with my availability. I strictly believe in Positive Reinforcement either through toys, verbal praise, redirection or treats, a combo of everything if your dog needs it! If you use e-collars, prong collars or shock collars, isolation or the crate as “punishment” please find another sitter. These are all examples of negative reinforcement. It may have desired results but it’s out of fear. I do not support that. Moving on….. Most recently I was the Mom to a pampered Yorkie named "Emma" (she is in the picture) prior to Emma I was a Mom to a Great Dane, Rottweiler/Pitbull mix, Boxer, Chihuahua and several rescues of all ages and medical needs. Some of which I had at the same time. I'm pretty adaptable and can work with your elderly dog and/or your spunky dog. I can administer Oral Medications and eye Medications if needed but prefer not to give injectables. If your dog is used to injectables (diabetic) and they are not aggressive during the process I am ok with that.
