I have been a lifelong dog owner and have also supported new pet owners as they welcomed their companions. I believe there are many similarities between humans and their four-legged friends; both enjoy exploring, experiencing variety, good food (and drink), and, most importantly, companionship. In addition to volunteering at several animal shelters—including the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, which I focused on large dogs—I co-founded Boozehounds, a well-known dog-friendly restaurant in the desert, with two partners. At Boozehounds, we ensured every canine guest received personalized attention as part of our commitment to hospitality. This also afforded us with the opportunity to give back, as we sponsored the adoptions of hundreds of cats and dogs. INFORMATION FOR VISITORS COMING TO PALM SPRINGS: Leaving a dog or any other animal unattended in a vehicle at ANY time of year is prohibited in Palm Springs and laws are strictly enforced. During summer, high temperatures present significant risks to canines. Walking dogs on concrete or asphalt without protective footwear is out of the question, as asphalt surfaces can reach temperatures of up to 160° Fahrenheit. Not definitive, but as a guideline, if you cannot comfortably hold the back of your hand to the street for 7-seconds, it is unsafe for your dog, which may sustain serious burns to their paw pads. Palm Springs is an exceptionally dog-friendly city during cooler months, offering numerous outdoor dining venues, coffee shops, and parks. However, please note that popular attractions such as the aerial tramway, Joshua Tree National Park, and most hiking trails do not permit dogs due to desert ecosystems and wildlife considerations. If you are staying in a private home, Airbnb or hotel, let me come your way, allowing you to enjoy the many attractions of the desert while ensuring your pet is well cared for.

Jimmy was awesome. He was very in tune to Hank. Hank love when he looks out the window to see Jimmy walking to the door. With Jimmy, Hank is able to walk around the community more and sniff more spots.
This is the first time I have booked Jimmy to spend some time with my boys. In a word, he was FANTASTIC! My boys absolutely loved him when they first met during a meet and greet and it was obvious to me that Jimmy is a real animal lover. Jimmy was prompt, courteous and professional throughout the experience. He was clearly enamored with my boys and they clearly had a great time with him. I will ABSOLUTELY be using Jimmy in the future. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Book Jimmy and you can be rest assured that your dog(s) will be well taken care of! He’s absolutely wonderful
Jimmy is a very responsible dog owner. For example, every Fourth of July Jimmy would make sure his dogs were safe inside giving them fun activities to do to help calm them from their anxiety and fear from the sounds of fireworks. He always makes sure his dogs are well cared for . I had him dog sit for me a few times and he gave my dogs the best care ever, my dogs didn’t want to leave.
