Rover is my daily routine. I base any planned personal activities on my Rover schedule and am home to supervise and play with the pups.

Dogs have the run of our home’s main level and the backyard. When we have guest dogs, we’re home 99% of their stay. If the pet parent desires, their pups can be kenneled but normally everyone is free range.

Information Jim W. would like to know about your pet
Please advise if your dog has any health or behavioral issues. If so, what steps need to be taken to accommodate their needs. Also, please be aware that we require all guest dogs be spayed or neutered, housetrained and have current vaccination records. Guest dogs must get along with other dogs, cats and people. We do not take fighting or guard dog breeds nor do we take small dogs. MEET AND GREETS ARE REQUIRED.
A typical day
Guest pups have the opportunity to meet others, both 2 and 4-legged, to make new friends and have new experiences. They have free-run throughout the house (but not the basement) and a dog door to give full daytime access to a large backyard however, the self-serve door closes at sundown but opens again at first light. There are lots of doggie toys to share and everyone enjoys a good game of chase, tug or fetch. Squirrel watching is a daily highlight as are mid-morning power naps.

Pet care experience
My wife and I love animals and have had dogs, cats and horses all of our lives. My wife volunteered at our country vet's office for a while but, most importantly, we took in stray/unwanted dogs and cats, puppies and kittens for the small town in Missouri where we lived. We gave all of the animals vet care as needed, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, gave dogs basic training and re-homed all the animals with a 100% success rate. We're back home in Colorado now so we no longer fill the Missouri town's stray animal needs but currently keep family and friends' dogs when asked and have cared for many others during our 11+ year partnership with Rover. We have a well-mannered, sweet-natured Golden Retriever and 2 cats. All of our critters have current vaccinations and all are happy to share their home with others. All guest dogs must be house trained and spayed or neutered. All dogs must have current vaccines - Rabies, Bordetella (kennel cough) and DHLP (Distemper, Parvo and Influenza). We do not accept guard or fighting breeds. As most of our guest dogs are large, we can't accept small dogs (such as Chihuahuas, Yorkies, Dachshunds...), thus assuring little dog bodies are safe from big dog feet. MEET AND GREETS PRIOR TO STAY IS A MUST.
Reviews

Our dog really enjoyed his stay with them, they were very communicative and sent a lot of joyful pictures of our dog.
Thank you for always being so kind and caring with Luna. I really appreciate all the extra support you give our special girl! You are the best!! I would recommend you to anyone.

Teton had a great time staying with Jim and Janna! I appreciated their daily updates which included many pictures of Teton having fun. Jim and Janna came highly recommended to me and they didn’t disappoint! Thank you for taking such good care of our pup!

They are simply the best dog sitters!
