We returned home after a week to find our cats’ water fountain completely empty, despite showing its location in person and listing it in written care instructions. The cats were very thirsty when we got home. We don't know how long they were without water. One of our cats has gastrointestinal issues and occasionally has accidents outside the litter box. We discussed this in advance and provided cleaning supplies and instructions. On return, there were several spots where feces had been picked up but left smeared on the floor. We also found vomit in multiple areas of the house. Communication was friendly, but visit timing was inconsistent with what we had agreed on, and check-ins were missed. Overall, the care did not meet the standard we expected, particularly give our cat's medical needs.

I hired Jillian for a 4-day house-sitting, specifically choosing house-sitting over drop-in visits because my dog doesn't do well alone and needs companionship overnight. I came home to 5 piles of diarrhea throughout the kitchen and living room, 2 piles of vomit on floors and rugs, urine on kitchen floor, and feces smeared on my dishwasher, kitchen counter, and somehow inside my toaster and rice cooker. My dog exhibited red eyes with thick discharge, excessive stress shedding (clumps of fur everywhere, far beyond normal amounts, and clear signs of distress (confirmed by another experienced pet sitter). I reached out to Jillian several times asking what happened and never received a response. I have to believe she wasn't actually house-sitting, because the guest room was completely untouched, the bathroom, sinks, and other facilities were unused, and when I asked directly about accidents, she claimed she "saw none," which would've been impossible if she'd been staying in the house. Communication was poor throughout. I received only one photo over 4 days despite requesting regular updates, and never knew when she was there or when my dog was last walked or let out unless I specifically asked. My dog has never had accidents indoors in previous Rover bookings and has always been happy and healthy upon my return. It's clear Jillian was not providing the house-sitting service I paid for, leaving my dog alone for extended periods with no communication. The mess, my dog's poor health, her dishonesty about the accidents, and complete silence since the booking show a lack of responsibility and care. Do not book with this sitter.

Jillian was great! She ended helping us out super last minute and updated us a couple of times over her 4-5 day stay. She took great care of our dogs and dedicated her time to making sure they were well taken care of. We are so thankful!

Jillian was a wonderful communicator and sent the best updates while I was away. I knew my dog was in great hands, and my very shy cat even came out to interact with her. Thank you, Jillian, for such a great house/pet sitting experience.
