I follow all directions provided by the pet owner. I stick to the dog’s home neighborhood for walks so that the dog feels safe and comfortable. I keep close eye on how the dog is feeling when temperatures are high and make sure they have plenty of fresh, clean water when the walks are done

It is very important to me that I know if a dog is friendly with other dogs and cats before going on walks in case off-leash pets come up to us. I also like to know how friendly they are with strangers, and which vet they attend in case of emergency.
A typical day
I like to make sure dogs are comfortable with me especially when first meeting, so I always ask how long walks should be, which toys are their favorite, and things like that.

Pet care experience
I've been caring for pets and house-sitting since I was a senior in high school. I provide in-home and often overnight care to a variety of dog breeds, including pit bulls, golden retrievers, and mixes of various ages. I've also provided care for indoor and outdoor cats, as well as a pet tortoise and outdoor fish. I have cared for senior cats and dogs and have experience in administering medications to both. While providing in-home care, I spend as much time as possible with the pets to make sure they're comfortable and not missing their families! I'm a graduate student at Auburn, and have some flexibility in my schedule. If you have any questions, please reach out and ask!
