Safety, trust & environment

I take a soft approach to training and care, as my boy was a rescue and very tentative with people and scared of nearly everything. I am happy to discuss care with owners and want to keep to your commands, care, and schedule because I know how important it is for our pets!

Information Jillian M. would like to know about your pet

Prior to any service, I require a quick “meet and greet” with your four legged friends for their comfort and mine. Additionally, my old boy has gotten doggy selective over the years so I am well versed in leash and general dog reactivity, how to avoid, distract, and deescalate negative interactions. I am here learn how you and your pup train, play, and adventure, safely!

A typical day

I love a good slow walk with lots of sniffs followed by quick paced jaunts and training on leash filled with commands and rewards. I’ve found for my shepherd mix this is a great way to exhaust them mentally when dog parks and off leash are not an option for full physical exertion!

Pet care experience

I adopted my four legged friend 7 years ago and have dedicated all my free time to training and adventuring with him. I adore animals and love being able to train and spend time with them so that they can enjoy the world as much as we do! I have been pet sitting for friends for nearly 10 years for both pups and kitty’s, I grew up with cats and pet sit my best friends when I need some kitty love.

I highly recommend Jillian as a pet sitter and dog walker. She has taken excellent care of my elderly cat, showing patience, attentiveness, and genuine compassion—especially important when caring for senior pets with specific needs. Jillian is also an experienced dog owner herself and has a very well-behaved Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix, which speaks to her consistency, training skills, and understanding of canine behavior. She is very athletic and energetic, easily keeping up with high-energy dogs and puppies, while still being calm and controlled. She is extremely detail-oriented, dependable, and adaptable, and she takes schedules and care instructions seriously. Whether your pet needs extra exercise, gentle care, or a specific routine, Jillian is someone you can trust to meet—and exceed—those needs.
