Pet care experience

Professional experienced pet lover!

I am a former Vet Assistant with an energetic pitbull and 2 cats. I grew up with a lot of pets from snakes and turtles to cows and horses and worked for a vet doing pet and exotic sanctuary work. I live in East Nashville so we can also take walks by the park. I carry additional insurance to administer medications if needed and have several current client that get insulin, subcutaneous drips, or are on strict seizure med timelines. If staying in my home your dog must be good with cats if it’s an extended stay, for day play the cats can be kept separate. I recently had a 14 year old chihuahua who passed, she had seizures due to brain cancer and heart disease so I am experienced in senior care. I’ve had my rescue pit for over 7 years. She’s a ball of energy & loves to play. She came from the shelter with some behavioral issues (mouthing, destroying things, jumping, pulling) but we have worked diligently to correct them but it’s a forever process. I don’t pretend to be the best at training, but I'm great with large breeds or the wildlings that might need a little more correction than most.

Jill was great to work with! She was quick to respond after the initial booking request, was communicative during her visits with Anabelle and shared photos and detailed updates. I will definitely book Jill for future pet care needs.

Piglet trusts a very select group of people and Jill is one of them! Piglet is always excited to see her!

Jill was extremely professional and great with my two senior girls. She sent frequent updates and even stayed with them longer when she sensed one of my girls was anxious. My dog Rio had some bathroom accidents, and both she and my floors were clean when we returned home. I 100% trust Jill with my dogs and would book again.

My cats usually don’t warm up to people, but after a few visits from Jill they are cuddling with her! Plus she sends the cutest photos!

My cats are aloof but Jill has been patiently making friends with them. I’m happy she was recommended to me!

Trips to dog parks can be arranged, but we prefer to stay out of dog parks and opt for long walks on Shelby Trail or romps in the backyard instead. I can also do some basic training work if needed.

No breed preference, I just ask that you are honest about their socialization skills. Are they food or toy aggressive? Would you like me to exercise them with my dog or do they need to be the only dog on the walk? Are you working on any behavior issues such as pulling or leash aggression?
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
