Jill stayed with our new puppy Lola and we couldn't have been happier! Jill is a knowledgeable, loving and super responsible pet sitter that made us feel comfortable being gone and away from our pup while we visited family. since we weren't able to get Lola all of her shots before we left, Jill stayed at our house and it was great knowing that Lola was safe, comfortable and loved. She was communicative and sent ...

Jill is wonderful. She came by for a drop-in visit when I was going to be out late and I wanted to give Rex a little company, check his water and food, etc. Jill went over and above what I had hoped and it was obvious from the pictures and updates of her visit that Rex was happy to have her company. I feel totally comfortable having Jill in my home taking care of my ...

Jill was terrific with our 2 labs. She made sure they had everything they needed, and it was very reassuring to receive updates and photos of every visit. I would definitely book with Jill again.

Retired veterinarian!

I have grown up with dogs since the day I was born and my first babysitter was a dog! I practiced veterinary medicine for 20 years with both small animals and large exotic (zoo) animals and worked as a veterinary technician and pet sitter before that. As a result, I am very capable with administering medications and fluids if needed.
My own pets have included dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and reptiles and I have been ...

What Jill would like to know about your dog

I would like to know any fears, medical issues, aversions to noise, others dogs, cats, etc. If dogs are animal aggressive then I expect the owner to supply a basket muzzle to be used on walks to avoid any injuries.
My favorite breeds are the sighthounds (Greyhounds, Whippets, Danes..) as well as the bully breeds such as Pits, AmStaffs, Mastiffs, etc. as I find especially the latter to be human and family friendly unless raised to be otherwise. I personally have had these breeds and my Pit actually saved my husband from dying in a house fire.

When Jill watches your pet

I love playing ball, Frisbee, tug of war, etc. if a dog enjoys those activities. Some dogs just like to snuggle and I certainly have no aversion to dog hair!
Where we walk will depend on the neighborhood. Of course, dogs want to sniff the local peemail and that's obligatory, but I try to get out into nature if at all possible.
