Safety, trust & environment

I will provide waste bags and pick up any pet waste during the walk or while out in a fenced yard. I require all dogs, regardless of training, to be able to walk on leash when not in a fenced yard area. I will not take your dog to a dog park as I cannot guarantee the safety of your dog there. Depending on proximity to my home, I can provide a fenced in yard for leash-free solo play time, but this will have to be discussed prior. My own dogs will never accompany me on walks or to a clients house.

Information Jill P. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs, behaviors, allergies, or any history of being a crate or leash Houdini :) !

A typical day

Walking, training, fetch (I have a chuck-it), tug of war, or just plain being lazy and cuddling! If your pet needs attention I’ll be there to provide it, but if they prefer to be independent and just need a watchful eye that’s ok too.

Pet care experience

I have grown up with dogs of all sizes and breeds and currently have three of my own - two dachshunds and an english lab. I have experience with handling dogs with special needs, as my dearly departed senior dog was epileptic and one of our current dachshunds has mild IVDD that we do our best to manage. It has been 5 years since a flare up! I am also accustomed with dealing with dogs that have mild behavioral issues such as nervousness around certain genders, children or other animals. I have watched and cared for my own dogs, family dogs and the furbabies of friends for some years now, and I find that walking dogs is just as therapeutic for me as it is for the dog. :)

Jill has taken care of my young and elderly dogs for years. She is a great handler for more stubborn dogs and always has extra training treats that my dogs love.
