I am home most of the time, but I will occasionally be working while at home. I have a very open schedule when I am not traveling to support my family in Georgia several times a year.

At times I will have 2-4 dogs in my apartment, however, I usually only accept 3 knowing that the dogs will get along and that I can give them everything they need. I am very playful and very affectionate. I think of my apartment as a little dog hangout. This is a reminder that my husband helps me and I'm not working alone. This is my full time enterprise but I also commission my husband if I stay at a house overnight. I run a tight ship and I keep a very fair, balanced schedule. I prefer to not leave animals alone for over 4 hours unless I'm explicitly told that it's okay. This is a home where cannabis may be used, but not in a way that would be detrimental to the well-being of your pets. I have many regulars with whom I book during common holiday periods, so above all, I encourage you to book ahead! Thank you for your consideration.

Information Jill & Max A. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your animal needs to be alone during their stay. I would need to know feeding schedule, preferred toys, medical needs, preferred time of visit, etc. I would love to know how the dog feels or acts when separated from its owner as well and some of their idiosyncrasies. Let's schedule a meet and greet.
A typical day
I try to walk the dogs I board at least three to four times a day on a day I have free time, and of course, we sometimes go to the dog park when we don't have too much going on. When I am working at home (which is rarer and rarer lately) the dogs might occasionally get shorter walks. I do some freelance work and I'm a craftperson with an Etsy shop and a number of artistic exploits. We have a large living room and I play a lot indoors. When I work with cats we spend as much time as possible playing.

Enthusiastic Animal Lovers
Pet care experience
I have always connected with animals. I find it mutually beneficial to share my undying love for and consideration for animals through Rover, which I have been doing full-time for about a year, but part-time for over five years. I have taken a class certification on Coursera from the University of Edinburgh on dog and cat behavior and psychology called "The Truth About Cats and Dogs", but I find I always have more to learn about each unique animal. I am also a former elementary ELL teacher (MAT 2015) with a very tender heart for helping. You will find I'm knowledgeable and exuberant. I'd love to chat with you and send you tons of photos. Max, my husband, is also a natural and animals are very drawn to him, and he has a natural inclination for pet care. I often get support from Max due to injuries and illness, or because of our schedules. He will be helping care for your pet with me, but if there is anything medical, I will handle that without support. We recently lost our diabetic senior cat Ignatius in October 2025, and we lost our dog Marlowe two years ago. Because our dog was very old and because my cat was diabetic, I have a lot of experience with administering meds or caring for senior animals and animals with medical needs.
Reviews

Have booked with Jill and Max several times now and they have been great! Great communication and our Mina loves them.

Jill and Max were excellent. They met my kitty at her level and did a great job at finding ways to interact with her while giving her her special space.

I’m so happy Jill is part of our care team! She’s responsive, warm, engaging, and caring.

Many thanks for taking care of Finn!!
