Dog loving semi retired couple
We have always had family dogs and have also been approved registered breeders. We have bred both labradors and Dalmatian puppies and therefore have lots of experience with puppies. During the years of owning and breeding dogs we have also cared for friends dogs while they are away. We have regularly looked after one of the Dalmatian puppies for over 10 years. Sadly we lost our last family Dalmatian at 15 years old last year and we miss her very much. We are now the proud parents of a new Cockapoo puppy and we could not bare the thought of leaving her at a kennels. We know the stress and anxiety of finding a safe and loving place for your little one can cause pet owners and want to provide the best care and reassurance while you are away. That is why we are both offering to open our home to dog loving owners so you too can go away knowing your little loved ones will be cared for as you would care for them. We are semi retired and never leave Ruby for longer than an hour on her own. Someone is always at home or we take her with us and your little one will be part of our family when they stay with us and have the same attention that we give Ruby. Ruby is always greeted in the morning by us both. We have a fenced garden which we let her out in before breakfast. She then has breakfast we often do some training. We then take her for her walk either in the village to the park, across the fields or a drive to Rushmere park. Ruby is only a puppy if your dog is older and loves to walk then he/she will get three walks a day. Ruby loves to settle in the evenings on the sofa with us. Ruby goes in her gage at night and settles well the door is always opening. Ruby gets lots of attention everyday and responds well to training she loves to play and is very friendly to all dog. We had a great experience with both setting up the care with rover & the excellent care Jill provide while our 6 month old whippet was in her care. This was the 1st time Winnie had been left & Jill provided Winnie with a calm safe enviroment. We would highly recommend Jill.
Bonnie had a wonderful stay with Jill, Harvey and Ruby the Cockapoo, it was obvious from the regular photos and videos that she was happy! It was not easy to give someone else the responsibility of a 7 month old puppy who had just come into season,but having met and spoken to Jill, we went away feeling totally confident that she is very experienced with dogs and certainly loves and understands puppies! If Bonnie could write the review she'd probably request we go away more often!!! Thank you for making Bonnie so much a part of your family!

Schedule
My husband is retired and I am semi retired and work two days a week. We never leave Ruby on her own for long one of us is always with her.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
We are both registered foster carers and have been DBS checked. All dogs in our care will be pampered like ruby. Ruby has breakfast and goes out into the garden which is fenced and all secure. We then take her for a walk. She has play time with us during the day and training. She has a second walk in the afternoon and in the evenings she sits with us on the sofa for cuddles. Ruby plays all day in garden but as she is still a puppy we ensure she has quite time.
Pets
A typical day
We go on walks, play ball and have training sessions every day. There is a fenced garden for them to play in and lots of toys to have fun with. We also have quit times to ensure rest and relaxation.
