Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine, and our dog guests are treated like part of the family alongside our own pets. During the school year, I am away from home for 3 to 7 hours at a time. If I am unable to come home during a longer stretch, a trusted neighbor comes over for potty and play breaks. I am fully home in the afternoons, on weekends, during the summer, and during school holidays, which allows for even more time, attention, and companionship. Dogs are safely separated in different areas of the home using baby gates or crated, if that is what they are used to at home. I also monitor them by camera while I am away.

Matt and I like to keep your furbaby’s experience as consistent as possible with what they are used to in their daily life. That looks different for each dog, but may include keeping the same feeding schedule, potty routine, bedtime routine, crate routine, medication or supplement schedule, and sleeping arrangements. In my home, pets are cared for in a safe, loving, and supervised environment. Dogs are welcome on furniture if that is what they are used to at home, but not on beds. Crates are used only in accordance with the dog’s normal home routine. Dogs are separated during meal times and nighttime using baby gates, which helps keep everyone safe and comfortable. I have a large, fully fenced backyard where we enjoy supervised playtime. Outdoor time is limited during the hottest parts of the day, and short walks may be included for leash-trained dogs. My home also has a double front door to help prevent escape artists from slipping outside. We have one dog, McKenzie, who is a gentle soul and a good companion to visitors, and Kaylee, our spunky cat. I host up to two families at a time, with a maximum of four dog guests total, but only one new family at a time, so I can give each pet the attention and care they deserve. For everyone’s safety, I am not able to care for pets who are aggressive toward people, dogs, or cats, or have a known bite history. I also send photos during the stay so you can feel comfortable knowing your furbaby is safe, happy, and well cared for.

Information Jill A. would like to know about your pet
Before sitting a dog I would like to know its personality and any special conditions that the dog may have. For everyone’s safety, I am not able to care for pets who are aggressive toward people, dogs, or cats, or have a known bite history.
A typical day
A typical day includes supervised playtime in our large yard, where dogs can enjoy outdoor toys, explore, chase squirrels, and get their energy out. For leash-trained dogs, we also offer walks during the cooler parts of the day. Inside, dogs can choose from a basket of toys, enjoy petting and cuddles, relax with Dog TV, or have quiet time when they need a break. Activities are based on each dog’s personality, energy level, and comfort, and doggy guests are treated like part of the family. Pictures are sent throughout the stay so you can see how your dog is settling in and having fun.

Pet care experience
Large & Small Breeds, Special Needs, All Activity Levels are Welcome! ********************************************** I have a lifelong love of animals. In addition to caring for my own 4-legged children, I have been a dog foster parent for over 14 years. Being a pet foster parent has given me experience with a broad range of dogs and needs. I have experience in giving oral and injection medicine and working with many types of special needs dogs. Your dog will spend time in my large, fenced yard playing fetch or just chilling out and being petted. We live on a non-busy, dead-end street that is pet friendly for daily morning and evening walks. If your dog is used to a daily run instead of a walk just let us know! Hubby does the running :) For indoor fun, we have a large toy basket of chew toys and stuffies for your dogs to find their favorites. For those dogs that like to chill out on the couch, they can sit back and relax with some dog-tv. At night, your dog will have their choice of dog bed or sofa to sleep on.
Reviews

Jill was fantastic. She accommodated our pick up time due to some unforeseen circumstances. Extremely friendly person. Definitely someone we would use again.

Jill was amazing with Cleo! We needed a very last-minute, same-day booking, and she was incredibly responsive and accommodating. Cleo had such a great time playing with her dogs and loved the huge backyard to run around and burn off energy. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Cleo was having fun and being well cared for. We’d absolutely book with Jill & her husband again!

She kept very good care of Ruby. No complaints!

Her husband and she were very kind and thoughtful. They were very flexible in terms of extending time and date. I travel somewhere quite frequently. Jill is going to be the one I will always ask for watching my dogs.
